No I am not “MORE” Christian than anyone. And how can one have a “HEATED DISCUSSION” if that person has the LOVE of Christ in their heart. 1st Corinthians 13:4-13

First, welcome.

Second, not everyone here us a Christian, although many are.

Thirdly, it is not a sin to be angry or to have a heated discussion. We are commanded not to son in our anger. Christ himself had a temper, as Scripture shows more than once.

We have had the most Christian and the most incompetent President ever, that being Carter. If there is any hint that you are supporting Mittens as the more Christian candidate, I think you, and Mittens are way off base. When I hire someone for a job, competency comes first, not the level of Christianity. Mittens is neither intellectually honest, nor consistent in his core platform. This is not a heated comment, not am I using caps to yell. Tolerance is a good thing, even if you disagree. This is a forum of ideas, not religion. BTW, as a Catholic, I believe in forgiveness and repentance. I am not questioning the other lead candidate's sincerity or his path to forgiveness. I am entitle to that belief and opinion, thank you. And that's why we're here at FR. God bless.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Welcome to Free Republic, a conservative political discussion forum. The majority of us are Christians who love our country just as our founding fathers loved it and fought for it. I do seem to recall a few “heated discussions” between Jesus and some Scribes and Pharisees. We love one another, but we also use our “righteous judgment” from time to time. Peace.
