You make a very interesting point about the use of pomegranate imagery in the priestly garments. Thanks.
I’ve also wondered if the use of palm tree imagery in the Temple might be a hint that the Tree of Life is/was some sort of palm tree.
1 Kings 6:32
So he made two doors of olive wood, and he carved on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees.
1 Kings 6:35
He carved on it cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold evenly applied on the engraved work.
1 Kings 7:36
He engraved on the plates of its stays and on its borders, cherubim, lions and palm trees, according to the clear space on each, with wreaths all around.
2 Chronicles 3:5
He overlaid the main room with cypress wood and overlaid it with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains.
From what I’ve read, it wasn’t a ‘tree’ it wasn’t ‘fruit’ and it wasn’t a ‘snake’ in Eden. The snake was satan. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (KJV)
