Each year I purchase a book to read during Lent. A few years ago, at the suggestion of another freeper, I devoted my lenten journey to this book.

The author, C. Bernard Ruffin (born 1947) is an American non-fiction writer who has written many books on religious subjects. He currently resides in Reston, Virginia where he taught history for twenty-five years at South Lakes High School. He is assistant pastor at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church in Washington, DC.

The book is very well researched and most insightful. I would encourage you to pick up a copy. Below is the link to this book on Amazon.

Thanks for the link NYer, I ordered it and can’t wait to read it. I don’t think I’ll wait until Lent though. ;-)
