Peter means hard pebble, not rock.
They were the stones that were thrown to stone a person to death.

Peter means hard pebble, not rock. They were the stones that were thrown to stone a person to death.Tqht is a common mistake by people that have little or no knowledge of Greek. There is a perfectly good word for pebble in Greek and that word is "Lithos" it is the root dervioation of "lithogragh"<>P>And As i pointed out from the word from John "Kephas, or Cephas" is the Hebrew word for Rock.
