Seventeenth century fashions worked in the 17th century. They look pretty silly today.

I always appreciate getting the opportunity to demonstrate that those who take the liberty to criticize the Church are really just blatant hypocrites. For example, they’ll criticize the Church because priests where robes, when in fact their own pastors do the same:
