Yorkie and Tiapam are FReinds I’ve met personally and enjoyed their wonderful hospitality a few years ago.
This tragedy his left me broken hearted.
Thanks so much for the news jaycee, wonderful to know yorkie is well enough to talk to people. She should feel a ‘glow’ from all the prayers being sent out for her.
Prayers for you too friend...
She has told me about the visitors she had. She and I have become close through F.R. and Amy’s Place and our many telephone calls, cards and letters.
"To be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord.
If you get to talk to her, would you please let her know that Randy And Violet wish her to get well and that we love her?
We would appreciate it so much!
I just read this, thanks to lonestar. How utterly tragic... There really are now words other than I shall pray for the families of our dear, departed freepers, and pray for the speedy recovery of yorkie.
Thank you, potlatch. I was thrilled to hear her voice and all she had to tell me. She will be busy with therapy from now on. Thank you for the prayers for Yorkie and for me. My problems became so small when I heard about this terrible tragedy.
Thank you Jaycee for letting her know how much we are praying for her and how sad we are about Tiapam and Chardu—God rest their souls.
Prayers do continue for her to have a full and complete and rapid recovery.

It would be my pleasure to relay your message to her, Randy, and I know she will be very grateful. She could hardly believe so many were praying for her but I assured her it was true!!!
You are so welcome, Luv. Some day in the future she will be reading this prayer thread and will be in awe of it and very grateful I’m sure.
Thank you, jaycee, for relaying your conversation with Yorkie and thank you for giving her our love and concern. I am comforted to know that her son and daughter have been with her. I couldn’t bear to think of her alone in that hospital room.
I know she will be asking herself many times, as would any one of us; why not her, why her dear friends and not her? But I think she is a very strong spiritual woman of deep faith and I pray that God will reveal to her, in time, his Will and why she was chosen to stay and why they were called home.
Prayers, prayers, prayers. Words can’t begin to convey...
Thanks for the update on yorkie, jaycee. R.I.P. tiapam and Cardhu.
love
Jaycee, when you next talk to Yorkie tell her I am thinking of her and praying for her. I’d like to send a card and I hope it is OK to do that. There was a hospital address on the prayer thread.
(((Hugs)))
You’re so welcome, Lori.
When a tragedy strikes like this one and only one is left alive, it certainly would cause one to wonder why me? As she said to me “I should be dead.” I think she truly meant she can’t understand how she could have possibly come out of this awful wreck still alive? Her son went to the sight and took some pictures and of course Yorkie wanted to see them. She said she saw lights and angel like figures in the pictures. Oh my!
Thank you, PGalt. ((((Hugs)))) to you!
I am not sure that was such a good thing for Amy, as I started to fall apart immediately. I am so glad she called me though. But I hope to never hear that tone in her voice again. I knew it was bad news, I just didn't know who. :-(
Pammie and Cardhu are "home" and, while their family and friends grieve and we wish them God's comfort, they are surely rejoicing in Heaven. But, our poor Yorkie, she must heal physically and emotionally. I am so glad that jaycee and Amy are in contact with her and can convey to her how much she is loved and how fervently we are praying for her recovery.
I will do that, TCP. I know she would love all the cards that people send to her. She will be overwhelmed, I’m sure.
OK, I’m making out a card now.
Wish I could do more.
