Uh...OK...Am I to infer, then, that whilst in bed, on top of the church, the good vicar and his wife will be providing an object lesson for their congregation?
What a sad excuse for a Christian preacher.
I happened to have been in his father’s church (2nd Baptist - Houston) years ago when visiting friends in the area. Our friend had to drop something off for a relative at 2nd Baptist on a week day and invited us to come in to see it. All I can say is that it was like a (faux) “Christian” megamall/social club, complete with restaurant, health club, mall-like advertising etc. Standing in the utterly barren “sanctuary,” I got literally sick to my stomach. The only focal point in that huge room could have been the pastor himself ... which about says it all. It may be that the pastor is Christian and some of the people there, but it would be more by accident than design. This is commercialized Christianity of the worst kind, all bound up in a personality cult. So, it looks like the son has gone the father one better. Sick.
This is exactly what is wrong with the American church. Let’s see how much entertainment value we can get out of a “message.”
This isn’t new for Fellowship...he’s had a tank, a Ferrari, anything that can add shock value to his sermon.
I wonder if the Holy Spirit is grieved in any way by anyone (not just this church) that uses shock value to water down the Word of God....it’s powerful enough standing alone.
Just sayin’...
