Rush should have gone with his Environmentalist Whacko Method:
Who are Steelers - The Steelers are a huge, big, polluting business that destroyed things with filth. Their tactics have led to lung disease, global warming, and general filth, the pollution of rivers; slave labor jobs, 24/7 working in insufferable conditions at the steel mills; polluting the skies so that people had to take three shirts to work every day if the shirt was white because by noon the shirt would be gray with soot! The byproduct of the work of the Steelers, the industrialists who cared not about the environment, cared not for their city, cared not a whit for the animal life surrounding the mills.
What are Broncos - Horses. Innocent beasts of nature struggling to survive as man encroaches upon their habitat.

Q: Why didn't the Steelers try a long pass at the end of the 4th quarter?
A: Because you can't beat Tebow with a Hail Mary.

Tebow is blessed by God. That may be, but Tebow took nothing for granted. He's put in an incredible amount of work since he was a little boy to be where he is.

re: “I well understand the thrust of your quote. It goes to the hypocrisy of those who engage in public displays of prayer for the approval of others. He, however, is professing his faith bravely in the face of general opprobrium.”
Exactly. Jesus was talking about one’s motive for what we do for God. The Matthew 6 chapter is not saying that Christians shouldn’t pray in public, or give in public, or give praise to God in public - Jesus was condemning the Scribes and Pharisees motives for praying publicly - He judged them because they prayed for the express purpose of being seen. That was their goal - not to honor God, but to get recognition for themselves.
If Tebow’s public acknowledgment of his love and gratitude for God is wrong, as some say, then we need to keep in mind the passage where Jesus says that anyone “who acknowledges/confesses me before men, I will acknowledge before my Father, but he who denies me before me I will also deny before My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32-34)

It is very dangerous to associate God’s grace with a team’s win or lose. Or with someone’s success or failure. The Lord is there whether the team wins/loses. Whether a person succeeds/fails. That’s what we lean from the Book of Job.

Yeah well, Big Ben was shot up with enough drugs he could have run the Kentucky Derby. Don't give this asshole more credit than he deserves. He may have ruined his ankle for nothing tonight. But he can still go to bars and screw skanks in the toilet so all is not lost eh?

Why don’t you post a URL showing Ali on a prayer rug in the ring bowing toward Mecca.

Because the guy on the right worships the God of the Holy Bible.

Didn’t Christ say something like if you pray, don’t do it in public with alot of fanfare.
Pray in a closet.

We are talking about a FOOTBALL GAME
He played great whether you want to admit it or not
He is the 6th ranked QB in the league
If that was Tebow playing hurt and shot up you would be praising him as a warrior no end so quit being a hypocrite
And yes I am a Tebow fan
But I know a good QB performance when I see it

"Didnt Christ say something like if you pray, dont do it in public with alot of fanfare."
Jesus said not to do this with the sole motive of being seen by others to impress them with how pious you are. Several verses earlier Jesus said we are to be the salt and the light and one doesn't hide a light under a basket.

Tim Tebow threw for 316 yards with 31.6 per completion, with play calling from JOHN Fox. God is showing his wit and sense of humor, to be sure! :)

He's a welcome relief from guys like Roethlisberger and Brady whose sexual escapades are perfunctorily noted in the news with little or no comment - they are the ones touted by the media and they are given passes for their transgressions.
Little or no comment
Are you serious
Rothlisberger was a top news story for WEEKS or more
He was torn to shreds on the local Sports talk radio here here in the Phils area
He even had a special meeting with the commissioner and there was talk of his being suspended
You want to say he should have been suspended --OK
But let's keep facts straight it was a HUGE story not this Little or no comment stuff

Look, Tebow a Christian - cool. But hes not the only one out there on the field.
Exactly
That receiver made a hell of a run on that play but he didn't need a TD
As long as he got in FG range
But the posters here are going way overboard
It wasn't the Super Bowl and even if it was it is just a FB game
With all the suffering wars etc going on in the world and Cristians being persecuted no end do they think God is watching some FB game and blessing Tebow
