The brother of John Wilkes Boothe, Edwin Boothe was on a train platform in Jersey City New Jersey. There was a bit of crowding as passengers were trying to buy tickets and Robert Lincoln, son of the assassinated president, fell between a moving train and the platform. Edwin Boothe grabbed him by the collar and pulled him to safety.

And here I always thought it was the fault of the Jewish professor who didn't lavishly praise his abilities as an artist and launch him on a successful art career. < / sarcasm >

If this story is real - and the incident truthful - it shows one thing - we all have choices to make...despite one making the right choice - doesn’t mean the other who chooses to do wrong - can lay blame on the the person that demonstrated true compassion.
Hitler would not have risen to power had he not blamed someone - he rose on fear, violence, and oppression - and like the many before him that did the same - he fell in the fire that he made...saving a child is good deed - but even if that other boy had been told what could have happened - or what would happen - would he have made a different choice? Standing there to watch an other child drown...it would be easy to answer that question now...but what as it occurred...
Blaming the Catholics or a priest-—had nothing to do with it...Hitler and his rogue band of deviants where going to do what they did...it was their choice!

Fidel Castro saved the life of a drowning priest. He was a very humble, religious young man at that time.

They’re calling it “the most devastating act of mercy in history.” Oh yeah? There’s another one related to Hitler. Do a search of ‘Henry Tandey’.

That may have been the first time Hitler's life was saved by an unlikely twist of fate but it was hardly the last and none of those episodes had anything to do with any church.
Pistols misfired and bullets missed, bombs failed to go off, others were mistimed. And one that did explode was casually shoved to the other side of a table leg a few moments before by a general who was himself killed in the blast along with almost everybody else in the room, but left the Fuehrer with nothing more than busted ear drums and shredded trousers.
Oh, and the use of the word "comrade" (no doubt kamerad in German) was just a common way of saying friend or buddy and doesn't necessarily imply anything about the politics of the old newspaper. If 99% of the journalists on Earth went suddenly up in flames the average human IQ on the planet would measurably rise.

Hitler was in Austria when he was four years old. This story says the river is in Germany.

And this is how he repaid us for saving his life:
3 million were Catholics. 50 000 Catholic priests and religious also.

Geez, don't let the pro-abortionists get a hold of this. We'll never hear the end of ‘if only abortion were legal back then, maybe that priest might have been aborted and not been around to save Hitler’. I can see these wackos going all over the place with this.
