That’s how His kingdom works because He has a different will/destiny for everyone for His Kingdom and no one is higher than the other. That’s not what he’s saying. Christ even says later on, “the seat to my right and to my left” are not mine to give. He does not say that everyone is going to be equal in heaven.

Yes, indeed, Peter says this, when he realizes that God isn’t going to spare someone because they have status here. Everyone must submit to him, no exceptions.
