The acoustics override the electrics around here (there's a Gibson L-200, a custom shop Martin OM Madi/Adi, and a Collings D2H Madi/Adi upstairs in my office right now, along with a Scruggs Mastertone and a F-5g). I was with the church youth on New Year's Eve, but I said good night to 12/30 with a John Mayer Strat custom-painted a la Hendrix's Monterrey. With the daisy, like Hendrix had, not the rose that Pamelina put on the Fender-issued Monterrey copy.
But I wimped out and bought a right-handed one. I seriously thought about buying left and swapping out the nut to get that voodoo sound from the back-angled bridge.
Were we talking about polygamy?
My coolest guitar is a Gretsch 5120; my most expensive is a Cordoba acoustic. Sadly, I found out after I got the Spanish guitar that I’m allergic to cedar.
