“I don’t see them being extreme in those areas at all.”

That’s a bit of a shocker. You don’t see the connection between contraception and abortion? The Church is the only one that teaches that contraception is wrong. Abortion rates have increased in lockstep with contraceptive use.

“If they were extreme on pro-life - Notre Dame fiasco wouldn’t have occurred.”

Notre Dame isn’t representative of the Church as a whole. Heck, for that matter, the entire Church in America is not representative of the Church as a whole. Remember, the Catholic church is worldwide, there are over 3000 dioceses, the US is just a small part of the overall Church.

“And then catholics, once again, bowed to satan with the request to cover ‘the cross’ and the gold “IHS” monogram at Georgetown U.”

Again, ‘Catholics’ are not represented by Georgetown either. The Georgetown administration did this, not the Church.

“If they were extreme in the homo area - they wouldn’t have to spend $3B+ in retribution nor seeking counsel to defend the catholic homo perpetrators and those catholics who covered for the perpetrators actions”

Given that the Church teachings are in opposition to homosexuality why are you attacking your allies? I can identify who my real enemies are, and they sure as heck aren’t the evangelicals.

“Nothing conservative about them in this area at all”

Oh, really. Why is it then that they were instrumental in the defeat of the gay marriage bill in California? Are you trying to alienate Catholics? We’re on your side here.

‘their catholic members’ are pro choice in both abortion and sexual practices and catholicism continues to offer them ‘their services’.

Yeah, like that Rick Santorum fella. He’s a Catholic too, isn’t he?

“They talk the talk but do not walk their talk.”

Who is ‘they’?

“One has to wonder - how many boys are NOW homosexual because of the CC practice of ignoring/covering for their homosexual priests. They seem to promote it in practice but rebuke it w/words.”

Key word here ‘they seem’.

Why is it you are condemning the Catholic church but giving the Episcopalians (protestant), ECLA (protestant), United Methodists (Protestant) a pass? All three of them not only refuse to condemn homosexuality, they now bless it?

The Catholic Church rejects homosexuality and you are attacking us? Why?

“Catholics stay in the CC because they - can and do - as they darn well please for all the world to see.”

No, sir.

Didn’t you just finish telling me that I should belong to a church that didn’t dictate my personal life? ;)

Abortions would not have increased lockstep with contraceptive use if the majority of Catholics didn't vote liberal and democratic.

Obviously, what the Catholic church teaches about either is irrelevant to those Catholics who vote liberal.

I worked with practicing Catholics who were very involved with their churches who voted Democratic, totally ignoring the abortion issue. When asked outright * Why vote for Democrats who support abortion that the Catholic church teaches is wrong?* the answer was .... quote "because Democrats are for the poor" unquote.
