2 Corinthians 1:19-22 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No, but in him it is always Yes. 20 For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. 21 And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, 22 and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

2 Peter 1:3-5 3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, 4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

The effort being exerted on us to try to cause us to doubt our salvation and security in Christ is staggering.

I don't see why it's any skin off their back if we're sure we're going to heaven.

Yes I can see what you mean.Quite frankly though I couldn't care less what others say about my assurance,no man will take from me what God has freely given.Maybe I'm simply nuts? We'll all find out one way or another in the end.One thing I do know is that there's no 'maybe' when it comes to how nuts this world and it's so-called wisdom is.

I'll take this guarantee at it's word.... "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for *if* ye do these things, ye shall NEVER fall" (2 Peter 1:10)

If!?! So there are believers who don't do this therefore leaving themselves in the position of possibly falling? Romans 10 talks about zealous believers in God who are not saved because they are going about to establish their own righteousness and are not submitting themselves to God's righteousness.

That right there is working out your salvation, that right there is laboring to enter His rest and that right there gaurantees we will never fall.

Romans 10:1-4 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth”
