Of course He did. We call that the One, Holy, Apostolic and Catholic Church. He called the Apostles, He gave them His Truth and His authority and they built His Universal Church. The Church that codified the Canon of the Bible and taught all of the nations the Good News. The Church you mock and despise.

You can call it whatever you want. Problem with the CC is that it has incorporated pagan practices and beliefs. No true church of Christ would allow pagan practices. It has become the apostate church people are warned to “come out of her”.

Why? Who told catholics to pray to her since it's deliberate disobedience to God?

Why do catholic follow man's instructions and not what Jesus instructed us to do? What part of God's Word is repulsive to them that they choose to follow 'man's' instructions?

Luke 11:2 He said to them, "When you pray, say: "'Father, hallowed be your name, Your kingdom come.

It's ALL about Jesus.

Isn’t Mary the Queen of Heaven, of Rev. 12? Was there some other sign given, where some other woman gave birth to some other Christ? Yet at the same time, the purpose of Rev. 12 is not merely to glorify Mary, but to, by analogy, use her as an archetype for the Church as a whole.

If Revelation 12 is speaking of Mary, then how do you get around the part that speaks of her in verse 2 "She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth."? Remember in Genesis 3:16 when God told Eve because of sin, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children."? So, if this Revelation verse is speaking of Mary, then she cried out in pain while giving birth and it meant she had the sin nature passed on from Eve. Yet, Roman Catholic teaching says Mary did not have a sin nature nor any pain birthing Jesus and she remarkably even remained a virgin. So which is it? Revelation 12 CANNOT be speaking about Mary. It can ONLY be Israel, who is persecuted during the last half of the Tribulation. No other way fits.

Christians don't practice idolatry.

If you do not understand the Catholic view you just do not know.

His Kingdom isn't about anyone's view!! We are told to hear and obey His Word and believe it by faith. And Maryology is from the pit. Praying to/venerating anything/anybody OTHER THAN GOD is idolatry.

Who are Jesus' mother/brothers and sisters? Those who hear and obey His Word. Those are Christians.

Catholic view?.. "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts" Is 55:8,9

Either you embrace/believe God's thoughts and His ways or you fall prey to deception. And Maryology is deception/idolatry. One can't know Him without knowing His thoughts and ways. And without knowing them, one can't be obedient and do His will.

So you really think He meant

Now where did I read that before? Ah, yes Gen 3:1. "Did God really say.." Nothing new under the sun.

I'm just taking Jesus' words at face value not adding to or construing any meaning into them other than what is plainly stated.

Now if Adam/Eve only said those words. Thanks, metmom. We learn what to do and not to do through His Word. Thank You, Jesus!

praise the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

After asking for the need to have a Savior when we are broken in spirit, should not prayer be praise and thanks and waiting and resting in and listening? Our other needs and wants seem not worth praying for.

Philippians 4:12-13 (NIV) I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
