My Uncle was the curator of the local graveyard.
I have seen all sorts of mourning and wishes.

All are to be respected.

Not that I know of in the Bible, but I know the Catholic Church sure frowns on the practice.

I wonder how much of that frowning was based on the fact the Church tended to be the only owner of cemeteries, back in the day - and is still a major owner of cemeteries world-wide?

I don’t beleive the catholic Church any loger frowns on cremation. They do frown onthe spreading of ash’s and suggest they be buried or kept on Sacred ground.

Do you know why? I’ve known a number of Catholics over my lifetime who have been cremated for very thoughtful reasons. I sure would hate to think there would be consequences.
