ok, without using tradition, tell me how we know which books that claim to be Scripture are real and which are not.
for example, why doesn’t the Bible contain the Gospel of Peter or the Gospel of Thomas, the Epistle of Barnabas and the Shepard of Hermas, while it does contain the Book of Hebrews?

You already have been given the answer to your question many times over....and over... and over again. I will stand that the final authority does NOT stand in any denomination/church Catholic or otherwise....if their teachings are in direct opposition to the scriptures then they've clearly gone another direction than God intended.

Not proven inspired... Didn't past the tests.... failed to go with the natural flow of scriptures...too many fairy tales...and the list goes on and on..pick any you might choose.

We have all we need in the written word as it stands. All the issues created by men to doubt the completion of the scriptures as they stand is to cause doubt of the whole...because it works to create doubt. The enemy of mens souls knows if he can cause ment to question thus..he has won. Cults do this all the time...so do false religions.
