Good post. In the end we don’t really know (referring to another poster’s “waiting place”), but I agree with your assessment that purgatory doesn’t seem “real”.
He had Jesus’s forgiveness—as the Christ said—he made it into Heaven. He realized Christ was innocent—he had done nothing wrong. He got it.
