The Holy Spirit “IS” the Office of Prophet and uses all of us to prophecy as Moses said . . .

Numbers 11:29

But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the LORD’s people were prophets and that the LORD would put his Spirit on them!”

1 Corinthians 14:5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.

Numbers 11:30 Then Moses and the elders of Israel returned to the camp.

1 Samuel 10:6 The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.

Fail. All of those references are OLD TESTAMENT. The point of the prophets in the OT was to correct and fortell of the coming Christ. Since Christ has already been here their function has passed.

YOU, SIR, ARE ATTEMPTING TO USURP THE PLACE OF CHRIST!

You are correct that the Holy Spirit speaks to ALL believers, which is exactly why there is no OFFICE of Prophet. As some one else posted (Hebrews 1:1), in times past God spoke through prophets, now He speaks through His Son.

You really need to read your Bible more. But hey, keep going, I can do this all day, I have this same debate with Mormons all the time, explaining exactly why there is no such thing as a “modern prophet”.
