I do have problems with this statement however.....

The body of Christ coming to spiritual maturity will be able to defeat death itself. This teaching became known as the "Manifest Sons of God". Taking childish cues from Paul's teaching in Romans eight and misunderstanding them, they suggested that a company of overcoming believers "the sons of God" will be manifested upon the earth with never dying spiritual bodies before the return of Christ. This would have to be the ultimate in dominion teaching.

Bishop Earl Paulk has stated the Manifest Sons teaching very clearly without ever using that unpopular term. Listen to his unmistakable teaching:

"Jesus Christ, as the first-fruit of the Kingdom, began the work of conquering death on an individual basis, but we, as His church, will be the ones to complete the task. Jesus said (Matthew 28:18), "all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth," and the church today has that same power. Death will not be conquered by Jesus returning to earth. It will be conquered when the church stands up boldly and says, "We have dominion over the earth". (5)

I do not see where Christians are given dominion over the earth to usher in the Kingdom as is purported. It completely precludes the rapture and teaching on the Tribulation.

Scripture states that the Gospel will be preached in the whole earth before the end comes, but does not say whether or not there will be a great harvest of souls. As a matter of fact, Scripture indicates an apostasy before the end. The love of many will grow cold.

Knowing the nature of God and the desire He has for people's salvation, I have no doubt that He is working to ensure that as many as possible will be saved before that time, but I also don't see that as being anything unusual or out of character for God. I think that is just business as usual for Him. Today is the day of salvation.

FWIW, I'd love to see this country get back to some really solid Christian and Scriptural principles. The kind that made this country great to begin with.

Oh I have a lot of problems theologically with what you posted. I was talking about the wiki article, what it said I agreed with, and so would most freepers

Dominionism is a term used to describe politically active conservative Christians that are believed to conspire and seek influence or control over secular civil government through political action, especially in the United States, with the goal of either a nation governed by Christians, or a nation governed by a conservative Christian understanding of biblical law.

“Scripture states that the Gospel will be preached in the whole earth before the end comes, but does not say whether or not there will be a great harvest of souls. As a matter of fact, Scripture indicates an apostasy before the end. The love of many will grow cold.”

Rev. 14:14-20
14. Behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17. And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

20. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress.

To be fair Revelation speaks of a huge harvest of souls followed by a harvest of wrath. Yet the folks you speak of seem to be ignoring the harvest of wrath. There might be a “latter rain” but it will be in the midst of world wide persecution as Revelation states that multitudes are put to death for refusing to be a part of the Beast/false prophet/image antichrist system. The two witnesses are in the battle as are the 144 thousand set apart ones. Moses vs the priests of Pharoah or Elijah vs the priests of Baal...on a worldwide epic scale. Christians are persecuted but they are not without supernatural help and for 42 months the plans of the Antichrist and his system are stimied. At some point the rapture occurs...perhaps at the same time as the witnesses are raised from the dead...perhaps earlier than when the beast system takes full charge and the martyrs of the beast sytem will be those who missed their first pre-rapture oppurtunity but believed later...there is scriptural support for several views.
