lds have just recently wanted to be called Christian, the last two decades or less. After reading the lds article, you’d have to wonder why they’d want to be called Christian.
Because the LDS figured they could get more of the ignorant and less discerning to join them if they say they’re “Christian”.
It’s not just LDS. RLDS has changed their name to “community of Christ”.
