10-4 Good Buddy! That’s what people forget. Young’s literal translation is on the list. It reads rock as Peter . That’s his name. When people argue we forget it’s Simon went Rock. Amen.

It is interesting that in Aramaic, the word used for both Peter and Rock is “Keepa” — from that, we get the Greek transliteration “Cephas” (used in 1 Cor and Gal). Anyway, you ought to look at John 1:42 (Jesus’ first encounter with Peter and Andrew). Can you imagine Peter following Jesus if the first thing Jesus did was belittle him? (as the Prots imagine that He does in Matthew 16:18). Then one should ask if Jesus and Peter conversed in Koine Greek or in Aramaic?
