She has a private doctor through her med. ins. at work, I’ve been using the Veterans Affairs hospital for some time now. Haven’t had an American doctor in many moons, but I feel lucky to have anyone to help me.

You’ve probably already scoured the internet for information and advice on edema and complications along with your VA doctors. Sometimes disease specific support groups and such can be a great source of good info too. Hopefully there may be something here. Stress can make things worse.
