Do you pray to her? Hmmm

no, we pray through her....for example, the Hail Mary quotes biblical verses in the first half...the second half says, Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen...We plead with Mary to put in a good word for us to her Son....sounds like a plan to me!!!

Sounds like a waste of time to me.

Jesus WANTS us to come to Him. What's with this concept that we have to beg for His favor?

Why would someone need someone else to put in a good word for us?

Or are you going to argue that as well; that my interpretation of Scripture is not correct and that I'm cherry picking verses out of context?

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."

Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

John 12:32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."

Matthew 23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!

John 7:37 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.

Go ahead, tell me that He needs someone to put in a good word for us because otherwise He wouldn't take us......

Actually -- no. It's an AWFUL plan. Why pray to Mary to have her pray to Christ FOR you when YOU (if you're saved) have DIRECT access to God Almighty though Christ's shed blood!?

It's an unnecessary and unbiblical step that NO ONE need do! I can pray for you if you'd like (as we're instructed to do), but Mary can't... we're taught to pray to God only -- no one or no thing else.

Unless Mary is omniscient and omnipresent, she can't hear you. And only God is omniscient and omnipresent... and omnipotent.

So.... if you're praying to her, you're worshipping her because you're treating her as only God should be treated. And doing anything like that is covered by the commandment against idols.

Do you have scripture to show us where we should do that or is that an assumption? I know we can have living people pray for us but I have never seen scripture that tells us that those who have died should do that. Please don’t use that made up assumption that all are one body nonsens. That’s only the assumption I was talking about.
