Didn't someone say something about how if all the splinters of wood purported to be from the cross of Christ were collected together, they could build a thousand ships?

I just heard there are something like 20 churches that have one of the ORIGINAL nails that nailed Christ to the cross..

I would love to know just how this 'belt" came into the hands of the Orthodox church??

This is an amulet that the proletariat hopes will cause an increase in the population ...I suspect that importing muslims would help more

BTW Buddha's Tooth is visiting Myanmar

A common foible of human nature is the dependence on the tangible. When doubting Thomas saw Jesus who appeared to him and told him to place his fingers in the nail holes in his hands and his side, and Thomas said, "My Lord and my God", Jesus told him:

“Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)

God wants the kind of faith that doesn't need to see to believe. He says that without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Heb. 11:6) The world says "seeing is believing". God says "believing is seeing".
