Poor man? He was a landed estate owner with a large group of farmers working the land for him, and university professor. Do you people even bother believing yourselves? Have you even heard of his estate house?
Except that he died in the 10,000+ square foot Lutherhaus, a former monastery surrounded by extensive farm lands, all given to him as a wedding gift by the Protestant Elector of Saxony.
