The vast majority of anti-Catholic folks could care less if God is impressed, they live to impress one another, that's the way it is for those who worship themselves. Every time such folks lie and anyone contradicts them they have a chance to get their furry little ego stroked by their fellow self worshipers. Ego strokes from their pals make them feel like their their personal religion of Self and their own personal interpretation of Scripture are worthwhile. They take great pride in being anti-Catholic, not in spreading the Word and everyone can see the pride dripping from about two thirds of the posts these anti-Catholic sorts of folks make. Especially interesting are the people you run across from time to time who claim to be, "former Catholics" but who are so transparent they've invisible. The sort of folks who chant, "that's what it says, but that's not what it means" while they swing a dead rat around their head aren't former Catholics, they're former sane individuals now gone off their rocker.
Only those with no life and not much CPU between the ears claim to stick to the "simple Gospel" or "the clear meaning of Scripture" in one comment in the very next one they're trying to look at least dull normal by explaining that without the right sort of rock candy crystal to look through no one can understand even a simple sentence in Scripture. Folks who claim to be Christian but who cannot unexpected responses clearly rely on "The Big Pop-up Book of Bogus Interpretations", by Iza Moron and don't really care about being Christian. People with that mindset only care about being anti-Catholic and getting their ego stroked.
Only ego and money drive people to make such fools of themselves the way several of those to whom you refer do, so it has to be ego unless someone knows how you can make a buck from posting comments, I sure don't. Of course, when people interpret Scripture to suit themselves you can't rule out that an unclean spirit of some sort has control of or at least a great deal of influence over them. After all, the Bible says that those who do not partake of His flesh and His blood have no life in them, so whatever spirit those without life in them listen to is by definition suspect at best. That's why we've seen the people who play little games (obviously coordinated by IM between comments) organizing personal attacks while making sure they stay within the letter of the forum rules. When they encounter someone who routinely makes it clear that individual personal interpretations of Scripture are absurd, they get crazy and want to find some way to run off the thorn in thier side. Only Satan and unclean spirits are that upset by someone making clear explainations of His Word and constantly quoting His Word in response to lies.

They can call us pagans, but they can’t take being called Satanic.
Go figure. What’s good for he goose...

I think you pretty nailed it in this post. It’s a personal, ego thing. Grounded in a deep foundation of ignorance.
It’s there for anyone sane with a modicum of knowledge of orthodox Christian belief to see. So, I think the more, the better.
It’s just a tiny off beat group anyway, worthy only of correction with a heavy dose of humor, IMHO. My only real worry is there’s a serious mental case on the other end of some posts and it all might just push the poster further into their sickness.
