Well, your answer is telling and explains so much to me.
I had always believed protestants when they claimed it was not Mary whom they reject, but the Catholic “worship” of her.
This thread has made it clear that those words are untrue.
Pity.
****Go look up all of Jesus words to and about His mother.****
Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother.
Jesus loves His mother and He gave her to us from the cross on which He died because He loves us too.
Luke 8:21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Luke 11:27And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 But he said, Nay rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
I’m not a Roman Catholic, but with years of studying the Bible, I too believe Mary IS the arch of The New Covenant, for she carried The New Covenant Being in her body for nine months of sustaining and protection. I find parallels to the ephod of Manna, the almond branch that budded and the tablets of stone in Jesus, so how else to characterize the Lady Who carried those affirmations of Covenant?
