Well, you were doing ok when one sees the church as all who are ‘believers’...until you said this:

...(God)”he doesn’t work outside the Body of Christ.”......

..It was all the way downhill from there. You tripped on a lie about God and fell over yourself thereafter...What do you mean He doesn’t work outside the Body of Christ! For shame....Of course God works whereever and whenever He chooses and with whom.....if HE doesn’t then none could be saved for ‘we were all outside The Body of Christ when he began His good work in us...seperated from God. Yet as believers we can all look back to the many times God worked in our life BEFORE we became Christians.

God has to work outside the church in order to convict unbelievers. There are many people who would not darken the door of a church before God gets to them.

Acts 17:24-27 24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. 27 God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

John 6:44 44No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.

John 16:7-15 7Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12"I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

ok, let’s test your premise.

show me from the NT where anyone was brought to the Faith without the Church being present?

Romans 10:17 tells us faith comes from hearing the word of God.

Romans 10:14 says how can they believe unless someone preaches to them?

The Eunuch, who was reading the Scriptures, when asked if he understood what he was reading said:

“how can i understand, unless someone explains it to me?”

The “someone” who has the AUTHORITY to explain ( i.e. teach ) is THE CHURCH.
