If you post with out adding any HTML of your own, the links will post as active links you can click on.
If you post using HTML even just ONCE, OR if the material you post has HTML in it (often like dictionary definitions) then you will need to add paragraph markers where ever you want a paragraph break so that you don't end up with what you've been posting, one long illegible run-on post.
When you use the HTML, you have to be careful to not leave spaces between the characters.
For example, for the paragraph marker you'd type a < followed immediately by a p and then another > with no spaces between.
If you put spaces between the characters it will just show up like this..... < p > but be useless. (I got it to show up by inserting spaces.)
As a matter of fact, if you even just use either of these symbols, < or > , the post will automatically require HTML formatting added by you.
Spaces where they don't belong in HTML are the bane of HTML.
