I think you pretty nailed it in this post. It’s a personal, ego thing. Grounded in a deep foundation of ignorance.

It’s there for anyone sane with a modicum of knowledge of orthodox Christian belief to see. So, I think the more, the better.

It’s just a tiny off beat group anyway, worthy only of correction with a heavy dose of humor, IMHO. My only real worry is there’s a serious mental case on the other end of some posts and it all might just push the poster further into their sickness.

God's Holy Spirit inspired WORD is The Final Authority for HIS Church.

Bibliolatry as seen in your mirror. You are the final authority for a church of one.

So we have as many churches as there are idolaters with Bibles and mirrors. The three or four left on this thread.

Pride is a sin, a church built on pride is rebellion against God's authority.

I agree. We should ignore them from now on.

They would be best buds with the villains in Jesus’s parables.

Who knows. Certainly not out of any fealty to Luther who was too Catholic for these individualist churches anyway.

Perhaps it’s because the Church is hierarchical more so than Lutheranism; the key fundamental doctrine these posters share is individualism, “it is what i say it is.’ [I being what I say scripture means.] And also because the Church is so much bigger than Lutheranism.

Size and authority is my guess. Grates against the ego most of all.

Ignoring is not a bad idea. This small band of rebels gets more undeserved attention than OWS.

;)

I ignore a few already, perhaps adding to the list is the best idea. The worst thing for pride and ego is to be ignored.

We should tell Catholics on FR to ignore these people and return their curses with blessings because they are already self-condemned.

Lutheranism is certainly more hierarchical than the Create Your Own Religion creed espoused by some on FR.

Hmm... the thought certainly brightens my outlook for, and would be more in the spirit of, Advent.

Let’s not forget they all need our prayers, especially those obsessed with demons and UFOs. It’s best not to interact,

Those whose spirituality consumed with the devil and the end of the world certainly need our prayers.

This, I hope, is appropriate.

Healing Novena

To Christ the Great Physician
We know that there is one physician:
Both flesh and spirit
uncreated, yet born
God in man
True life in death
From both Mary and From God
Subject to suffering and then impassible
Jesus Christ our Lord!

We ask O Great Physician, for spiritual, physical, and emotional healing, especially my intention of those in need on this site.
You of both flesh and spirit

May we spend all of our days in your healing presence
You the eternal Son born for us

Grant us the healing benefits of your Incarnation, Death, and Resurrection
You who are true God and true man

Grant us your true life in the midst of death
You, the true life in death

Grant us to follow your example and that of your Blessed Mother
You, from both Mary and from God

May our suffering be for our growth; free us, we pray, from that which we cannot bear
We ask You, O God the Word who became man to suffer

We ask you to grant us this healing if it brings us closer to you,
Jesus Christ our Lord!

When people can't read and understand a simple sentence in Scripture but pretend to be the infallible interpreters all Scriptures, you have to wonder if they can get much sicker, really. Someone who pontificates on the clear and simple meaning of Scripture but goes on for page after page of diversion and indirection to try and explain away a simple sentence like, "Do you see that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only?", is already either very sick or being paid to act incoherent.

Self-worshipers, though, are so daft that they no longer even try to hide just how sick they are behind a facade of rationality. The thing is, when people reach the point of basically claiming to have taken the place of the Holy Spirit in the Trinity, how much deeper can they even go? They've already collapsed into the same black hole of narcissism our president lives in. They just haven't taken the next step and admitted that they are humanists who at best believe God is only a sort of force they can control and command once they attain the right knowledge. One thing for sure, the most Protestant society in history has borne the very fruit you'd expect from doctrines that dictate individual authority in all matters of faith and morals, even when the average individual hasn't promoted them self to God yet.

Those who believe the Protestant and Protestant derived religions have done the next best thing to promoting themselves to the level of their own god, tough. They've demoted God to such a degree that they claim to be hangin' with Jesus like they'd hang with their homeys. Their lack of reverence for Christ betrays what they try to hide or may not even be aware of themselves, that they have no respect for what God says because they see Christ as just another homey.

Regards

As I said, not likely,

Okay. Then explain what you think you can do to change the atmosphere around the Religion Forum. After all, that was only a suggestion from me on what I think will help. However, if you are just saying you want to work on a plan and it isn't a postive one, then all I can tell you is more negative recriminations and personal attacks will NOT help do what you claim you want. Don't expect anyone to react in a nice way when they are being called Satanic, dogs, swine, facists and leftists. Not to mention, all the insistence that no one but Catholics know Christ and can be saved. But any tries to make the dialog here more productive and respectful will be welcomed.

Proverbs 15:1
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Colossians 4:5
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Proverbs 17:14-15
If a man pays back evil for good, evil will never leave his house. Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.

i’M sick of your bossy attitude. I will not explain anything to you. You can put your “suggestions” away. I’m sick of being called names, too, and of being told what I believe. Don’t expect any Catholic to react in a nice way when we are told WITHOUT CEASING that we worship Mary, our beliefs are demonic, and that we do not worship Christ.
!I cannot believe how arrogant you are!

Take your own advice, heretic!

** Knock off the attitude of accusing everyone of “ignorance, bigotry, and lying”. Try to imagine that just maybe they are NOT ignorant or bigoted or lying. I guarantee just that will change the atmosphere at once. **

I think this goes both ways. I have been called ignorant as I’m sure every Catholic on FR has been.

Nevertheless, you must admit that Catholics and Protestants or Fundamentalists post out of their own beliefs and to them, perhaps someone is lying or ignorant, etc.

It’s not for me or us to judge. Let God be the judge.
