That is my story as well.

Mine also, it was thru scripture reading and asking the Lord to teach me what He wanted me to know was His truth. I know that God will lead the heart and mind of those who are determined to know His truth.....and in doing so they will "see".....only He can remove our blindness to the truth and get us on that "narrow" path.

Gee if I google errors in apocrypha I have to go 7 pages into the results to find a Catholic site speaking of such errors.

That means there were 6 pages of protestant claims that they are not Scriptural.

Now, somewhere out there may be Catholics who agree with the protestant position, but that is not the official teaching and canon of Scripture from the Church.

Next, I googles errors in the Bible and LOW AND BEHOLD, if found pages and pages of lists of errors and contradictions throughout the Bible.

Yep, atheists love to point them all out. And, what is their conclusion? That the argument that the Bible is the inerrant and inspired word of God is circular, i. e. that the Bible is God’s word and God is not the author of error, therefore the Bible has no errors.

Sound familiar?

Then I googled errors in the New Testament and what did I find? If you guessed that there were also numerous sites expounding on all the geographical and historical errors and contradiction in the New Testament, you win a cookie!

So, yes, CB, it is your opinion that the books removed by modern day protestants do not belong in Scripture.

How about answering the questions I put to you?

Did Jesus contradict the OT when He stopped the men from stoning the adulteress?

Did Jesus contradict the OT when He said that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath?

Yes it is. But it feeeeeeellls so goooooooooood. They cannot give it up. Notice that you have been basically isolated by a pack of attack proddies. At a time like that, I’d just bless everyone and leave. You can gain nothingby staying, and they will laugh at you if you err in the smallest degree. Real Christlike.

As a noobie, one thing you don’t know is how many good Catholic posters are leaving. PM me for info. The atmosphere here can get very poisonous, and we are basically stopped from responding in kind.

Insecurity is the hallmark of fundamentalists of all stripes. They cannot handle any opinions other than their own.

Bullies are weak people who can’t take what they dish out.

I ask that I not be pinged again on this thread.

I was just wondering if I've ever seen them come to the defense of Christ?

You know, that is a good observation, caww. I think the main reason is they pretty much know we are in agreement about who Jesus is, why he came and what he has done for us. Over and over we have stressed that the faith we have is centered in Jesus Christ. Like Scripture says, one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of God the Father. That very thing was spoken in Isaiah 45:22-24

“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.
They will say of me, ‘In the LORD alone are deliverance and strength.’” All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.

And then again in Romans 14:11, Paul repeats:

It is written:
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.

And again in Philippians 2:5-11, Paul reminds us:

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

God does not want us - no he FORBIDS us - to bow our knee to anyone BUT Jesus. He is our everything and nothing can take his place in our hearts and in our walk with God.

Obviously

the Vatican Ashteroth-Mary-Goddess cult’s DAFFYNITIONARY is in use again.

Personal = specific to an individual.

An unidentified group is not personal etc. etc. etc.

Thin-skinned sensibilities DO NOT COUNT.

You seem to have been around long enough to have likely come across that articulation of the rules.

Therefore, your pressure tactics with the RM and JimRob

are YET AGAIN

MORE evidence that

the Vatican-Ashteroth-Mary-Goddess cult

STILL INSISTS ON !!!!CONTROL!!!! and on turning FR into a totally Vatican office controlled out-post of the Vatican itself.

Welllllllllllll bless y’all’s hyper-thin-skinned sensibilities. Whoooop-T-Do!

Proddys are always sooooooooooooooooo impressed by y’all’s

Olympic class whining. /sarc

[mock bowing and scraping]

Thankfully, the FR leadership is NOT at all clueless about such pressure tactics and goals!

BTW, the common exhortation is equal to . . . if y’all can’t stand the heat—stay out of the kitchen.

"I guess they think God is impressed."

The vast majority of anti-Catholic folks could care less if God is impressed, they live to impress one another, that's the way it is for those who worship themselves. Every time such folks lie and anyone contradicts them they have a chance to get their furry little ego stroked by their fellow self worshipers. Ego strokes from their pals make them feel like their their personal religion of Self and their own personal interpretation of Scripture are worthwhile. They take great pride in being anti-Catholic, not in spreading the Word and everyone can see the pride dripping from about two thirds of the posts these anti-Catholic sorts of folks make. Especially interesting are the people you run across from time to time who claim to be, "former Catholics" but who are so transparent they've invisible. The sort of folks who chant, "that's what it says, but that's not what it means" while they swing a dead rat around their head aren't former Catholics, they're former sane individuals now gone off their rocker.

Only those with no life and not much CPU between the ears claim to stick to the "simple Gospel" or "the clear meaning of Scripture" in one comment in the very next one they're trying to look at least dull normal by explaining that without the right sort of rock candy crystal to look through no one can understand even a simple sentence in Scripture. Folks who claim to be Christian but who cannot unexpected responses clearly rely on "The Big Pop-up Book of Bogus Interpretations", by Iza Moron and don't really care about being Christian. People with that mindset only care about being anti-Catholic and getting their ego stroked.

Only ego and money drive people to make such fools of themselves the way several of those to whom you refer do, so it has to be ego unless someone knows how you can make a buck from posting comments, I sure don't. Of course, when people interpret Scripture to suit themselves you can't rule out that an unclean spirit of some sort has control of or at least a great deal of influence over them. After all, the Bible says that those who do not partake of His flesh and His blood have no life in them, so whatever spirit those without life in them listen to is by definition suspect at best. That's why we've seen the people who play little games (obviously coordinated by IM between comments) organizing personal attacks while making sure they stay within the letter of the forum rules. When they encounter someone who routinely makes it clear that individual personal interpretations of Scripture are absurd, they get crazy and want to find some way to run off the thorn in thier side. Only Satan and unclean spirits are that upset by someone making clear explainations of His Word and constantly quoting His Word in response to lies.

Actually, I’d guesstimate that RC’s

make it OVERTLY INDIVIDUALLY PERSONAL

about 97 times by RC’s to 3 times by Proddys.

That !!!!DEMANDING!!!! !!!!CONTROL!!!! ARROGANCE to the max just seems to be a RELIGIOUS DUTY OF OBLIGATION for the RC’s hereon . . . well . . . for the rabid clique variety anyway.

This is a time of year where most of the people are happy and they are anticipating getting together with friends and family..... Many say this is what Christmas is about, family gatherings. But this was the very opposite in the scripture.

It was uncomfortable for Mary as she was turned away from a house having to give birth in a manger. There was an element of insecurity what could happen being away from the population, out in the countryside in winter. They were alone, no mid - wife, no doctor just the two of them and God.

This holiday is not just a remembrance or a birthday of a great man, or another holiday to have a party, but the celebration of the one and only time God took on a human body.

Additionally....God’s [Christmas] tree was a cross decorated with a bloody man, it may not have looked beautiful to man but it was acceptably decorated to God. This is the Christmas gift to all of us, this is the one gift we all need to open. It's not what is under the tree that counts but what hung on the tree, Jesus Christ; who was born to be crucified on the cross so that you can have a relationship with God. "Let us Reason"

Christ has come to save sinners and within all Christianity there are sinners.

All of Christianity has been infiltrated with homosexuals and pedophiles and abortionists and whatever sin one wants to name.

The Catholic Church has had some rotten leaders and some inconsequential leaders and some holy and saintly leaders.

With a history of nearly 2,000 years that is to be expected and if your church is a church of one it is a church of sinners.

The difference is in the Truth and whether it is proclaimed and protected and unchangeable. That is the Church.

This time of scandal and difficulty in the Church is no different than other such times in which the Church emerges stronger and more faithful.

I have trust in Jesus and His words that the gates of hell will not prevail, and they have not.

"They fear my intellect. That’s why they attack me."

All anti-Catholics fear the clear display of how intellect and His Church work hand in glove, especially when clear interpretations of Scriptures they love to abuse get posted. Intellect is the enemy of anti-Catholics alright, and ego is their god.
