Gay Episcopal Bishop to Preach at San Francisco Catholic Parish
Catholic Culture ^ | 11/22/11

A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.

Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.

Metmon says: “I don’t give a rip what people around me think.”

It's not rocket science who metmom means - secular worldly people who follow man - who don't have a clue about the things of God. So who gives a rip what they think - I say the same thing.

Your post attests once AGAIN....you have nothing to say...because You yourself cannot defend your church’s issue of worshipping Mary. It’s that simple. Enough said..you are a waste of time...again.

Neither do they understand Christianity.

It is sad that you seem to hate Catholicism so much that you just will not listen to anything anyone tells you.

WE DO NOT WORSHIP MARY. Period. It’s slander to say otherwise.

#3459 by Mark Bsnr is the answer you appear to want to avoid. I am tired of getting badgered by you. I do not need to defend my church’s issue of worshipping Mary, because my church does not worship Mary. It’s that simple. Enough said. Any interaction on the topic that ignores Mark Bsnr’s post 3459 is a waste of time, again.

Uhhhhhh

You’re trying to argue with God who gave the instructions about the Temple?

Not surprising for a group that pretends that their Ashteroth-Mary-Goddess figure forgives sins and is the only door to Salvation and God.

Incredible.

The ‘I’m ALL yours, Mary’ crowd is not allowed to think - they are command to force themselves to obey their confessor. Satan’s got them wrapped up tight in man-made doctrine/teachings and they come here to vent at us who are ‘FREE IN CHRIST’. Jealousy, envy.

Okay, just understand that this is a game. They say we worship Mary. Just for the heck of it, I’m going to go light a candle and say some prayers to her. Maybe someone “over there” will froth at the mouth, post a bunch of multicolor junk and a few boring gifs, and it will be amusing to laugh at them for a while.

This is pretty ugly. We either let their lying statements stand, or we get into an endless round of “No we don’t” “Yes you do.”

It always gets this way around Christmas. And Easter, too. They remind me of DU, the way they make war on all that’s good and holy at this time of year.

We need a better strategy. Let’s think one up, okay? Then we can get together and implement it. Maybe we can change the RF for the better, in Christ’s Holy Name. I’m sick of their ignorance, bigotry, and lying. They aren’t tired of it, though. They have done this, told us what we believe and what we do, for literally YEARS. I guess they think God is impressed.

RM, If it's okay for them to call Catholics Satanic, it should be okay for Catholics to post exorcism prayers.

The Holy Spirit Himself was what enlightened me and guided my reading and then it's not hard to see where Catholic doctrine and tradition diverge from the plain, clear teachings of Scripture.

That is my story as well. I think, for some here, it is impossible for them to imagine anyone would leave the Catholic Church for purely theological reasons. They have been so brainwashed to believe only the Catholic Church is the true church and no one can possibly be saved outside of "her", that they totally miss the point that the body of Christ is truly universal and that to be part of this body is to be born again into the family of God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Why must anyone pretend that we need anyone else BUT Jesus Christ as our Advocate?

If they don't know Him as their Advocate they will lean on something else.....thus Mary, and the Priesthood and Rome...which as we know keeps them from just that. Jesus becomes a figurehead at best and then usually after the fact of everything else.

I was just wondering if I've ever seen them come to the defense of Christ?

IMO...without their Priesthoood/Mass and worship of Mary, and their role of Peter, the Catholic Church would completely fall. Thus any arguements about those false teachings and practices will be fought mightily and have for years. It's what their religion is based on and foundation of.

>>Mary doesn’t forgive anyone’s sins, period. She prays that God would forgive us our sins.

But considering your level of ignorance of what Catholics believe, nothing anyone tells you would convince you otherwise.

I’m sure that a Nestorian like yourself wouldn’t be able to comprehend the idea that Mary bore the Godhead within her womb, and that Jesus was equally God and equally man without division, admixture, or confusion.

No dice.

It is not unusual when one belief spawns from another for both to condemn the other in the harshest terms possible, e.g. cult, heresy, anathema, apostate, Satanic. And those terms are often used in theological documents and become deeply held beliefs.

But when a Freeper prays an exorism for another Freeper that is making it personal.
