This is something we should think about daily and nightly!! LOVE TO ALL in the HOLY PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!
Love to all people!! This message I send to believers in GOD or not.
Today and everyday, may you all think on how you treat one another and yourselves.
Do you treat people the way you want to be treated? Do you ask more of people than you would want to be asked to do??
Do you have the same patience for others in their learning that you want or wanted in your times of learning??
Do you support people that do what you wanted to do before you actually do it?? Or do you put then down secretly out of jealousy of them getting to a point that you think you should have been or had first??
I leave everyone with these questions to answer personally not to me; unless they feel so. But definitely not necessary. That's personal!!
Just like we can't control our way in this world. We can't control the way out.
We can try to to control our futures by storing up riches, being educated in ways to get a job, or depending on people to love and support us in what we do ( talents, business, family, etc...). But still nothing is permanent.
Whatever the story is, we dont really have control.
Everyday can be something new.
But why we are here is to exist with one another. Existing in love makes us all slowly but surely become one human beautiful creation.
Let's start to love one another today and every day!! Be a guide to those seeking to be good. Be a light to those stuck in evil habits. Be a mirror of goodness to those loving evil. Support always those that do the goodness that you wish you could do.
Love to all of you in the holy precious name of Jesus, with eyes on Father, and ears to the holy spirit day and night,
Servant of GOD
THANK YOU!!! I AM SO EXCITED TO RECEIVE THIS!!!!!!!
“Our Eternal Identity”
How valuable is your priesthood to God? What priesthood? you may say.
The opening greeting in the first chapter of the book of Revelation plainly shows us Gods value of our priesthood to Him.
The apostle John wrote, Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood, and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father; to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen (Rev. 1:4-6).
Our priesthood is part of our salvation!
This is how precious, valuable and important our priesthood to our Lord is.
Our priesthood is as much a part of our salvation as our forgiveness of sins by His blood.
Our priesthood is as much a part of our salvation as our having been made a child of God.
Our priesthood was birthed in us at the exact moment of our new birth.
In the same way that He loves us and released us from our sins by His blood, He has also made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father. Its all part of the same wondrous work of God in our lives.
Is it important for us, as Christians, to know we belong to God? Is it good for us to know and relate to our new selves in Christ? Do we understand that the more we grow in the awareness of these things the more sure-footed we will be as believers?
Of course, the answer to each of these questions is a huge yes. Well, in the very same breath, its just as equally important as believers for us to realize and step into the fact that we have been made ministers to the Lord. This is Gods hearts desire for us, individually before Him and together as His church.
Well, how do I minister unto the Lord?
First and foremost, this really is a matter of our being. This is about who we are. This is our new eternal identity. We have been made into somebody special. Theres an anointing. Theres an office. Theres a mantle. Theres a robe. Theres a vision.
Theres a place for you as a priest unto God thats been waiting for you all of your Christian life.
You will experience your priesthood in eternity. The book of Revelation shows us that. But it would be so much better for each of us, and for the entire body of Christ, to experience our priesthood now.
In Revelation Chapter 5 the text is very similar to what I shared with you from Chapter 1, yet this time in a different setting. This is about the Lamb of God. Revelation 5:8-10 says, The four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying, Worthy are You to take the book and break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God. Again, this is a matter of identity. One day in eternity we will all be functioning in our full glory as a kingdom of priests. Ever since God began humanity, He has looked to walk in fellowship with humanity. The goal seems to be not only for us to know Him, but to be part of this glorious priesthood unto Him.
How can we know that our priesthood is important for this present day? How does our priesthood relate to our service to God now?
The apostle Peter explained it this way, Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected by men, but choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, meaning us as individual believers, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood (1 Pet. 2:4-5). This is what our Lords church is supposed to be: a spiritual house to develop a holy priesthood.
Do we understand what the implication of our priesthood is? Lets go on with what Peter says. You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture:, and now Peter quoted from the Old Testament, Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed (1 Pet. 2:5-6, Isa. 28:16).
This speaks of Christ, our precious corner stone. He is the corner stone of our faith. This precious value, then, is for you who believe. Then Peter returned to the subject of our priesthood, saying, But you are, and then again, quoting from the Old Testament, a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for Gods own possession. Finally Peter declared the reason why: So that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy (1 Pet. 2:4-10).
Our Christian testimony to this world is not a matter of our opinion about things. What makes us truly different, unique and separate from this world is our reception and reflection of the presence of God. According to the Holy Spirits wisdom, Peter wrote that it is Gods will for us, His church, to be built up as a spiritual house for this holy priesthood.
In ministering unto the Lord as His holy priesthood, worshiping and pouring out our hearts and love to God, purely for Who He is and what He has done, we become transformed in His presence so we may truly see and understand the excellencies of Him. This is what we behold in our priesthood, the excellencies of Him.
The more we behold Gods excellencies, the more we are transformed by Gods excellencies, and the more we cant help but proclaim His excellencies to this world. This is the will of God. This is part and parcel of our preaching the Good News, seeing and proclaiming the excellencies of Him, who has called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light.
Jesus once said, Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Matt. 12:34). In other words, we become what we behold, meaning the way that we share the Lord may have more to do with what were actually seeing than, perhaps, even the essential truth of God. Many believers behold this world more than they behold the presence of God and so their message is slanted more in that direction. God desires a people who will minister to Him because, in doing so, we will see the excellencies of Him predominantly, and proclaim the excellencies of Him to this fallen world.
So, as the book of Revelation shares, our priesthood unto the Lord is our eternal identity, given to us at the very moment of our salvation. Peter indicates that our priesthood is an integral part of our testimony. We need to be lit up with Gods Spirit to be the salt of the earth; the light of the world. Amen? Ministering unto the Lord is how this happens. And what could be better? I cant think of anything that could be better for a believer than spending quality and adoring time with God in the understanding of our priesthood, and then going forth declaring His excellencies out of that transformative time.
Here is another significant passage of Scripture which relates to the value of our ministering to the Lord. Recorded in the 13th chapter of Acts, this was quite a pivotal moment in the history of the early church. It involved the apostle Paul and Barnabas being called to their first missionary journey into Galatia. This is really what started the portion of Pauls life where he began spreading the Gospel to different countries and saw many churches established. No small feat. Also out of all these efforts came a significant portion of the New Testament, namely, all of the letters Paul wrote to these churches.
How did this happen?
Well, before Paul was Paul, Paul was Saul, a persecutor of the early church. Saul was gloriously saved (Acts 9), began immediately preaching in Damascus... and created quite a turmoil. His life became threatened and Christians who lived in Damascus had to secretly get him out of the city in a basket.
Shortly thereafter, Saul suddenly dropped out of sight, at least in the New Testament picture, for quite a long time. Interestingly, this section of Scripture was the first recorded portion of Pauls Christian ministry and, you know something? You never hear about the church at Damascus again. The only time Damascus is ever mentioned again in the New Testament was when Paul recounted how he became born again.
Saul definitely had zeal and energy at that time for the Lord, but a lasting work was not established, because Paul had not yet received the revelation of his priesthood.
Now, heres where ministering unto the Lord comes into the picture.
Its years later, and Saul reappears. Barnabas went and found Saul and brought him to the church at Antioch. Saul was a changed man now. Here is what made the difference. In Acts, chapter 13, Scripture says, Now they were at Antioch, in the church that was there, prophets and teachers: Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. And while they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them (Acts 13:1-2).
While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said...
In the book of Revelation, we see that ministering unto the Lord is our identity. It is as much part of our salvation as is our forgiveness of sin and new birth. In 1st Peter, we see that the practice of our priesthood is Gods Own desired light for His church, that we might proclaim the excellencies of Him. And now in Acts, we see that ministering unto the Lord provides the perfect environment to receive an authentic call for service.
What part of our walk with Christ hasnt been transformed by ministering unto the Lord at this point? Our priesthood is our identity. Our priesthood is Gods will for His Own church. And our priesthood is our call to service.
Take time to minister to the Lord. Have absolutely blessed, wonderful, transformative time in His presence. There is no microwave relationship with God, where we pop the Bible open and expect to be a fully formed believer in two minutes. I encourage you to enter into your identity as a priest unto God. Receiving this truth is just as much Gods gift for you as is your salvation in Jesus Christ.
The more you behold your priesthood the more you will see what a highlight this is meant to be for the church. Look at the change ministering unto the Lord made in Pauls life. Rather than simply declaring, like perhaps before in Damascus, Im off to preach the Gospel now, what did Paul do first, this time, which changed everything? He ministered to the Lord... and the Holy Spirit said.
Can you think of another significant person in the New Testament, One Who would minister to the Lord, spending quiet time with God first before ministering to people? Our Savior of course. This was the way Jesus lived and conducted His life here on earth.
Ministering unto the Lord is absolutely consistent with the life of Christ. There are numerous accounts in the Bible of many times Jesus spent alone with God. In Luke 5, people were looking for Jesus to minister, and the Bible says, “But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray” (Luke 5:16). In Mark Chapter 1, Peters mother-in-law had been healed by Jesus, which opened up a big, day-long healing service. The next day Jesus left early in the morning. What did He do? He went to be alone with God (Mark 1:35).
In Johns Gospel, Jesus said, The Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing (John 5:19). When we minister to God today, as priests in His presence, we too truly behold our Heavenly Father more purely and are given the blessed opportunity of seeing His will for us and what He desires to do in our lives.
Ministering unto the Lord is authentic Christianity, and yet it is all too often completely removed from Christianity. Christianity is certainly the poorer for this loss of our identity as Gods holy priesthood. What could substitute for responding to Gods invitation to draw near to Him to minister to Him? I cant think of a single thing.
There are plenty of things out there that clamor to absorb our time and attention, but nothing draws us closer to our true identity in Christ than ministering unto the Lord. And there is nothing that will bring the light of Christ more truly and purely into His own church and into our testimony to this world than ministering unto the Lord.
AMEN!! GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED!!

Servant of GOD
johngrace,
AMEN! GOD’s spirit pushes forth ministry. Our love in HIM is something for all to see. If all believers show that love of JESUS in their daily lives. If they show that love of JESUS that has changed us, then healing of others is easily there.
GOD is great all the time.
Stay in HIM always in all you do.
LOVE TO ALL IN THE HOLY PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!!
