Very interesting "last days" observations.

Joel 2,3 speak of the last days. Peter spoke of Joel's prophecy in Acts 2, on the day of Pentecost. "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel."

And to whom is this prophecy of great revival given to? "For in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance. as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call."Joel 2:32.

This revival is to be for Israel. "Ye men of Israel, hear these words." "Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem."

Unless your church believes she is Israel, there will be NO "revival" in the last days.

But there is another "last days" spoken of by the Apostle Paul. The last days of the Church the Body of Christ. The "But Now" that we are living in.

Paul's last days speak of apostacy--not revival.

"This know also, that IN THE LAST DAYS PERILOUS TIMES SHALL COME. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy...having a FORM OF GODLINESS, but DENYING THE POWER THEREOF: from such turn away" (2 Tim 3:1,2,5).

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine! But after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Tim. 4:3,4).

One speaks of the revival of Israel. The other speaks of the apostacy of those who have not trusted in the finished work of Christ for their salvation.

The question is: do you believe you are Israel?

Well, Christianity has always taught that Christianity is the New Israel...

What, then, is supersessionism? The word designates the traditional Christian belief that the covenant between God and the People of Israel, established through the mediation of Moses at Mount Sinai, has been replaced or superseded by the ‘New Covenant’ of Jesus Christ. This implies that the Mosaic covenant, with its ritual and dietary requirements, Sabbath observance, etc., is no longer valid for the Jewish people, since God’s revealed will is for Jews, as well as all Gentiles, to enter into the New Covenant by means of baptism and faith in Jesus as the promised Messiah.

When these prophecies come to pass, the Fundamentalist/Evangelical/Rapturist understanding of the secular state called Israel will be seen for what it was at that point also.
