Not an expert, but speaking broadly:
I’ll go out on a limb and posit that there are father issues: Either absent, abusive, or queer.
When girls go bad, that is almost certainly an major contributor to the overall etiology.
I think there are many who don’t have a fathers presence in their life but they do not choose to go this way. People make choices...these two decided to go this direction...and more than likely resisted the inner warning of the danger.
When you play on the edge of the cliff there is no guarantee you will not fall off....in some cases you will be grapped off.
