It doesn't matter how many times you repeat this, the Scriptures just do NOT agree with you. There are MANY uses of the word "baptism" both in the New Testament AND the Old Testament. Jesus himself spoke of several quite different kinds. For example, John's baptism versus "his" baptism which John the Baptist even spoke of "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire." (Matthew 3:11; Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16; John 1:33). In Mark 10:38, Jesus is even speaking of yet another kind of baptism:

“You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?” That, obviously, was not water baptism - since he had already been baptized by John - and it wasn't the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Rather than being so rigid and trying to defend what you just maybe have misunderstood about the subject, LEARN something.

the Scriptures just do not agree with me?

oh really?

in Matthew 28, Jesus gives His authority to the Church to teach and BAPTIZE.

in Acts 2, we find Peter teaching and BAPTIZING.

now, why does Peter say they should be baptized? is it just to do some “water ritual” after salvation? NO
is it to be some first act of obedience? NO
is it to show outwardly something that has happened inwardly already? NO
The Scriptures say Peter said they were to be baptized for the remission of sins and receiving the Holy Spirit.
plain as the nose on my face.

all the OT baptisms and John’s baptism were all types and shadows of the baptism commanded by Jesus, the one baptism spoken of by Paul, the one baptism where the Holy Spirit regenerates our souls with saving grace.

i would say to you, LEARN SOMETHING. the Christian Church has understood what baptism is for 2,000 years.
quit following the 16th century tradition of men and follow what the Scriptures teach on “baptism”.
