matthew 27:62 says Jesus died on the day of preparation, so again it makes no sense.

matthew 28:1 says the sabbath day was the seventh day dabbath since the next day was the first day of the week.

the Scriptures are clear and consistent, Jesus died on Friday and rose on Sunday.

this whole “wednesday” false teaching is just another attempt to attack the Catholic Church and connect Easter with paganism.

the historical, orthodox, biblical Faith is proven correct again.

Jesus is the “first fruits”!!!

Believe what you were taught to believe. I’m not arguing with you again on this. It has been made abundantly clear by now. THe Catholic Church needs no outside attacks to discredit her. Her own words and deeds do that. But you never did answer my question/statement to you last night. I bet you believe Christ was born on Dec. 25. Correct?

Not if what you claim it is. Look at the verses you gave:

Matthew 27:62-65

The next day, the one after Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate. “Sir,” they said, “we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’ So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first.” “Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.”

So, Pilate approves a guard the day after Jesus was crucified. He had been buried by the time they thought to ask Pilate for guards because Jesus said, "After three days I will rise again." According to you, that would have been Saturday, right? So even the Jewish priests and Pharisees did not expect Jesus to already be risen the next day - Sunday. Got that? It is YOUR timing that is false. According to Matthew 28:1, "After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.". According to OLOFOB, Jesus was buried on Friday evening and was raised by dawn on Sunday and that equals three days. NOT!

Instead of viewing this as "just another attack on Roman Catholicism", and you having to defend everything they might have ever said, imagined, defined or otherwise, why not simply admit that on some things "they" may be wrong? Otherwise, these incessant arguments just look goofy and unnecessary.

There's nothing wrong with trying too place the days, nights, etc in accordances with Jewish laws and customs of that era. Whatever day it actually was like His birth does not change nor challange ones salvation.
