read post #288, it’s sourced and makes it so plain to understand, even you will get it.

Jesus died on Friday, just as Christians have believed for 2,000 years. How does the Church know for sure, it was there on the first Easter Sunday!!

Reality check. There is not one shred of historical evidence that Christ Himself ever sanctioned the celebration of 'easter'.

There is NO way, any way it is attempted, to get 'three days and three nights' in the tomb out of a doctrine of sacrifice on the 6th day and being risen before the dawn on the '8th' day. Most especially since the new day began at 'sun' down and ended at the following 'sun' going down. IF as has been preached Christ was placed into the tomb before the sun set on the 6th day of the week, what we now call Friday to the 7th day (what we now call Saturday) 'sun' down is only one day and night.... Yet He Christ was not in the tomb before the 'sun' rose on the first day of the week, what we now call Sunday. What is the point and purpose to ignore/reject what we are literally told in regard to how long Christ would be in the tomb? IF the claim is that for 2000 years what is preached/believed as purpose/point, people have been wrong since 'before' the foundation of this age. And as it is written there is nothing 'new' under the sun.

Apparently it was 'noteworthy' from Christ about the length of time as He said Jonah was the ONLY 'sign' for His followers to have. Maybe the 'smart' guys do not believe that Jonah did what he wrote and so Christ was misguided in using Jonah as His only reference point for length of time. One consolation is that once we all return to the Maker that sent us through this flesh journey all traditions/doctrines will get a thorough editing.
