So tell me where the Catholic Church states that Purgatory is either a time or a place. The Catechism refers to it as a "state".
It makes no difference. As Jesus said, “TODAY”. A place, a state makes no difference as I see it, it’s just not biblical, not in the least.
Now that being said, I fully believe my RC friends and relations are brothers and sisters in Christ. They fully believe and trust that Christ died for their sins and that’s an end to it, we’ll have a grand argument in the afterlife won’t we...oh wait, we’ll know for sure then, but some of us will be red faced..hope it’s not me, but I’ll be glad to be there along with you.
Ah.. no. The previous point was that Christ told the thief that the thief would be with Christ TODAY in Paradise. If "Purgatory" existed, why didn't Christ say that? No reason, apparently, because the Thief's FAITH in Christ through grace saved him -- not baptism, not "The Church," -- God's grace.
And I would bet that he WAS in Paradise that day with Christ, sans "Purgatory" and enjoys his presence today. I bet that because Christ said it -- not "The Church."

Correct your fellow Catholics before you correct us...
You guys use the story of Abraham's Bosom in the depts of the earth as the 'place' where purgatory is...
Now YOU claim it is a state, not a place...Get your stories straight...
