Perhaps if you understood ALL of scripture you would realize that those who are not of Jesus flock don’t even “hear” (as in understand) what He says. So indeed Jesus words are only for those who believe and are part of His flock.

Scripture is clear that spiritual things are spiritually understood.. you are right..they see the words but they can not understand them...They do not have spiritual eyes to see or spiritual ears to hear..

1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

And the logical outcome is they are attracted to a group of human philosophers who no more understand what God says than they do...They rely on their supposed intellectual superiority to explain to their followers what they think God means

Those who want to have an elevated status study what the philosophers have written about each other and about what they think God said instead of going to the scriptures and reading and believing for themselves what God says...
