In Gen 2:4 YHVH says “these are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created”. The Hebrew letter “Yod” which also represents the hand of YHVH in certain words appears 2x in the Hebrew spelling of generations.
It is the “Tav” not the “Yod” that appeared 2x in Gen 2, then disappeared in Gen 5 and finally reappeared in Ruth 4.

That which connected “adam” to YHVH was removed thereby turning “adam” into Adam,”iysh”. Then YHVH prophesied in Ruth that “adam” would be restored through the generations of house of David.
