If they were friends or family and I was invited, sure.

Some people will do anything for a free meal.

What if he wanted to marry a girl aged 11? Or a donkey? Or a plastic life-sized doll?

I think it's time to call in a specialist to comment.

Getting back to basics, you DO realize that this is a conservative website, don’t you? And conservatism excludes affirmation of homosexuality.

That’s good. The reason I asked is I had a job once where one of the managers and her “life partner” were having a baby that her “life partner” conceived with a male, i.e., ivf, i.e., turkey baster. The managers were all excited about it and had a baby shower. I refused to attend but they put all sorts of pressure on us. One of the managers said to me “we have a baby!” when the baby was born. There was just no sense of the fact that there may be folks in the office who didn’t approve of these two women purposely creating a child that didn’t ask to born in this unnatural manner and would be deprived of his father on purpose so these two women could brake the laws of God and nature. It made me very uncomfortable and I’m glad I no longer work there.

I would not. It’s an affront to God. To me, it would be like atttending a Black Mass of the Church of Satan. (Which, incidently, got its start in San Francisco)

Hell no would I attend a gathering of immoral trait supports gathering on any circumstance. It is not a wedding on any terms that I consider moral or just. Call me a hatemonger, I don’t care, the perverted 8% SHOULD never be allowed to dictate to the MORAL 92%.

you are correct that it is not a wedding (which is a Holy Sacrament) but the perverts are NOT 8% — studies suggest a lower figure, maybe even less than 1% who are really gay. Many others just flirt with it in our jaded, anything-goes culture

Just for the record, IVF is the opposite of the “turkey baster” method, more accurately known as artificial insemination.

Point being, whether the conception occurred by IVF, turkey baster or the old fashioned way, the lesbian manager at my office was clearly not the baby’s father.

UGH! I think that’s the ultimate insult to heterosexuals. You make a life choice to be homosexual, you make the choice to never naturally have children. To go get “basted” with some strange man’s sperm is tantamount to an admission of “okay, I can’t be completely gay, because gays can’t have children.”

They have the forethought to decide that they want to be castigated and looked down upon by society for the rest of their lives, but they don’t blink when it comes to having a child and getting artificially inseminated.

Disgusting.

Haven’t you heard that lots and lots of hetereros are using IVF to conceive??

Your brush is a little broad there.

And yet the conversation was about homosexuals, so... you’d think I was painting within those lines. Was I not?

Yet you keep asking the same asinine questions that have already been explained all the way back to Socrates and further explained by Aquinas.

In the end life is all about faith, humans do not have the intelligence to know what living outside of time entails. We can't even comprehend infinity.

Religion forum I guess. Previous posts were nuked due to salty language and the fatigue of responding to the same questions over and over again which is probably why you did not see my response.
