the law remains as the way we can please God and show our gratitude to Him Actually, the way to Please God is by Faith. "And without faith it is impossible to please God". Simple obedience to the law without faith does not please God. For "whatever is not from faith is sin" Romans 14:23

A child can say they have all the faith in the world in their parents, but if the parents say, do not touch that hot stove & the child touches it anyway & burns themselves, where was the Faith, the trust of the child in the parents knowing what is best for them? It is the same with YHVH. Is HE not our FATHER? Or does a child know more than the FATHER who created him?
