FAITH! JESUS! LOVE! QUESTIONS TO ALL DENOMINATIONS!

Amen

Grace and peace to all of you. I am very new to this site. The holy spirit brought me hear tonight to look over many answers here. To learn and to share.

I have questions here if anyone would be kind to take the time out to answer:

1. If we want evil to stop, why do speak of where it is, how to see it, where to see it, and when it may happen?

2. Do we really believe GOD sees all things and will handle all things?

3. If we revere Mary as the mother of GOD, why do we not copy her obedience??

4. If we believe in CHRIST as the son of GOD, who killed no one, loved everyone, and died for all. Why do we worry about dying?? Why do we want to kill others?? Why do we hate others? Why do we want to own land, take over other countries? Why do we want to judge others faith, walk, and lives before they die, knowing that GOD has power to save and can save anyone?

5. Do we believe heaven exists?? If so, where is it for all of you??

The holy spirit brought me to some passages for all of us to think about:

The love of Christ that we should live and show the world LUKE 6:27-36

27 'But I say this to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who treat you badly. 29 To anyone who slaps you on one cheek, present the other cheek as well; to anyone who takes your cloak from you, do not refuse your tunic. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask for your property back from someone who takes it. 31 Treat others as you would like people to treat you. 32 If you love those who love you, what credit can you expect? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit can you expect? For even sinners do that much. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to get money back, what credit can you expect? Even sinners lend to sinners to get back the same amount. 35 Instead, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend without any hope of return. You will have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. 36 'Be compassionate just as your Father is compassionate.

Mary's love, obedience, and acceptance that we should all follow in situations that GOD can handle that we cant

Luke 1:29-39

29 She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, 30 but the angel said to her, 'Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God's favour. 31 Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; 33 he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.' 34 Mary said to the angel, 'But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?' 35 The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. 36 And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, 37 for nothing is impossible to God.' 38 Mary said, 'You see before you the Lord's servant, let it happen to me as you have said.' And the angel left her. 39 Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah.

OUR LIVES HERE MARK 8:29-38

27 Jesus and his disciples left for the villages round Caesarea Philippi. On the way he put this question to his disciples, 'Who do people say I am?' 28 And they told him, 'John the Baptist, others Elijah, others again, one of the prophets.' 29 'But you,' he asked them, 'who do you say I am?' Peter spoke up and said to him, 'You are the Christ.' 30 And he gave them strict orders not to tell anyone about him. 31 Then he began to teach them that the Son of man was destined to suffer grievously, and to be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be put to death, and after three days to rise again; 32 and he said all this quite openly. Then, taking him aside, Peter tried to rebuke him. 33 But, turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said to him, 'Get behind me, Satan! You are thinking not as God thinks, but as human beings do.' 34 He called the people and his disciples to him and said, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 Anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it. 36 What gain, then, is it for anyone to win the whole world and forfeit his life? 37 And indeed what can anyone offer in exchange for his life? 38 For if anyone in this sinful and adulterous generation is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.'

OUR REAL HOME Revelations 21:1-8 1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. 3 Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. 4 He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.' 5 Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true." 6 Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; 7 anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8 But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.'

Well it does appear their will be a unity of catholics and protestants along the way, but how that will actually look is another thing...it would seem each maintains it’s own identity...rather like states in a union...but will all be under a “leadership” over it.

I do think islam will also be a part of this unity....especially with the muslim brotherhoods tentacles spread about internationally. They’ll let them in because of the oil revenues....same with the mormons who have vast enterprizes and real-estate business ventures on an international scale. And no secret the Vatican is awash with revenues.

Meanwhile it does appear these various “groups” do speak for the Pope...and that on a “universal” scale.

THE ROMAN CURIA

In exercising supreme, full, and immediate power in the ‘universal Church’, the Roman pontiff makes use of the departments of the Roman Curia which,... therefore,... perform their duties ‘in his name’ and ‘with his authority’ for the good of the churches and in the service of the sacred pastors.

You can jest about it NL...and it does seem at times pretty far fetched...or at least it use to...but not anymore. Scripture is like that at times...we can’t imagine certain things possible but then as time moves forward we see not only possible, but actually understood and seen.

Several of the churches I’ve attended wanted no part of the World Council of Churches when they first formed and named themsleves....though they claim to represent all Protestant faiths...that is simply not the case... and part of the reasons many Independant churches arose since that time.

I do wonder if the catholic believers might do likewise if they are pushed into this universal church....they cannot remain within the catholic church when it continues this push for too much longer...and it would seem, as with the protestant churches...

Too many un-believers have entered and taken positions of authority. But Christ said this would be so and warned us this would occur. I just hope and pray those we have become acquainted with on FR all “escape” before it’s too late. I for one will be very very happy when that day occurs...and they too come out from among them.

Me...."As for catholicism being around for 2000 years, that really doesn’t attest to if they are right or wrong..." You...."Likewise Jewish beliefs have been around much longer - that doesn't make them more righteous or more complete."

Thanks for adding that fact Alamo-girl. Longevity doesn't mean something is right because it lasts. Criminals have been with us for years as well....Hinduism and many pagan practices as well...and then there's all that falls inbetween.

For that matter sins been around since satan desired to be God....and he still influences people in many ways they cannot identify.

For a couple of people who preach endlessly against any argument not founded solely in Scripture you two sure are tap dancing around Gamaliel's counsel.

Cults and false religions are thriving in America today. These are definitely not of God, and millions of people are involved in them. So Gamaliels’s logic is faulty.

Gamaliel’s “do-nothing” counsel would certainly bring to an end all law enforcement, if adopted by any State.... Equally, there would be no discipline in the church.... God repeatedly commands in His Word that right conduct should be approved and wrongdoing should be restrained.

It must be admitted Gamaliel made two correct statements: first, that the work of men comes to nothing, and secondly, that the work of God cannot be overthrown. But he failed to note that the fall of the false may not take place for many centuries! Has Islam fallen yet, or Rome, or Hinduism? By Gamaliel’s test, perhaps we should conclude that these movements are of God. But Gamaliel forgot that God does not judge the false immediately. Some false institutions will last until Christ destroys them at His Coming.

To substitute the do-nothing counsel of Gamaliel for discernment leads to one of two consequences, as we have noted. Either we fail to support something which is right, or we say and do nothing about something which is harmful and dishonoring to God. Gamaliel’s counsel is always foolish, selfish, and hideously costly to the cause of Christ.

The use of the counsel of Gamaliel in defense of a “do-nothing” or “run-with-the-tide” approach to any new fad is a sure sign of a person who has an inadequate respect for Scripture as the authoritative judge of all matters.

“no.”

“That’s what I expected.”

Then why did you ask such a foolish question when you know the answer very well without my imput?

subsidiarity

I think that word appears in a Council on Foreign Relations publication I once read. Or was it the Bildenberg Club?I know it was some New World Order or Illuminati thing…

If reality doesn't fit the desired image, ya just gotta change reality.

That post pretty much sums it up for me...but the source ccannot be forthcoming as I don’’t know where I took it from..but it was to oppose a new age member who kayed claim to Gamaleil’s words as well. Many cults under the Christian disguise are not excempt from using Christian material.

You make a statement that I knew to be a complete confabulation. I gave you a chance to substantiate it and you had to punt. So much for your learned opinions.

If by "Rome" you are referring to the Catholic Church you better not hold your breath awaiting its failure. Jesus promised that the Gates of hell will not prevail against it. That cannot be said for the thousands of failed and failing Protestant denominations around the world.

Now before you get your nickers in a bunch about who or what you believe the Catholic Church is or is not remember that the Apostles Creed, used by Catholic Church, Lutheranism, Anglicanism,Presbyterians, Methodists, and Congregationalists, clearly recognizes that "One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church" and the "Communion of Saints" are two separate bodies.

What do you mean...”you gave me a chance”? Your question didn’t need an answer. Most Christians understand there are wolfs among the sheep..and the masqurade as ones as well. I’m sure you’ve met some along the way,...I know I have. Unless of course you are saying you aren’t aware of this, which would be impossible for me to believe.

What churches might believe, and what the scripture tells us, and how people want to discern these creeds mean, is entirely up to them to decide.

What I know and believe is the church is the ‘body of believers’ IN Christ.... and has no denomination barriers except those the men in them might determine, which of course always becomes a problem them. But Jesus said “all” who would come...I think He ment it.

As for the Protestant churches falling away...of course that is also to be expected, just as it is in the catholic church, as time moves forward to that day...Jesus said there would be a great “falling away”...from the faith so this should not surprise us...but it sure is very sad when we see it happening as it is today.

At any rate the Gates of Hell will not prevail against the body of Christ (His church)...we are His and He is ours...and He is able to help us stand.

As the Pope outlined, the political issues that are non-negotiable for the Catholic faith are: Sanctity of life, protection of marriage and family from the state, parent’s control of their children’s education - not the state.

The Church played a major role in defeating world communist domination by the USSR, and continues to fight against China’s attempt to control religious freedom.

One of the key principles of Catholic social thought is the principle of subsidiarity.

If and when those try to work contrary to any of this, we stand against them and fight. We don’t run off and start another “denomination.” We know where that leads. :)

Even politically there are many ‘other’ issues which are equally significant to Christians that the Pope has not stated as nonnegotiable. I wish his stand against homosexuality and pedophilia were equally nonnegotiable. In churches I've attended where these and other issues have crept in they are addressed and dealt with ASAP. No grass grows under the leaderships feet while doing so either.

If the vileness is not extracted then you will indeed see a mass exodus from the building....why would you put peoples lifes in further danger? Especially your family?
