Amen
Grace and peace to all of you. I am very new to this site. The holy spirit brought me hear tonight to look over many answers here. To learn and to share.
I have questions here if anyone would be kind to take the time out to answer:
1. If we want evil to stop, why do speak of where it is, how to see it, where to see it, and when it may happen?
2. Do we really believe GOD sees all things and will handle all things?
3. If we revere Mary as the mother of GOD, why do we not copy her obedience??
4. If we believe in CHRIST as the son of GOD, who killed no one, loved everyone, and died for all. Why do we worry about dying?? Why do we want to kill others?? Why do we hate others? Why do we want to own land, take over other countries? Why do we want to judge others faith, walk, and lives before they die, knowing that GOD has power to save and can save anyone?
5. Do we believe heaven exists?? If so, where is it for all of you??
The holy spirit brought me to some passages for all of us to think about:
The love of Christ that we should live and show the world LUKE 6:27-36
27 'But I say this to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who treat you badly. 29 To anyone who slaps you on one cheek, present the other cheek as well; to anyone who takes your cloak from you, do not refuse your tunic. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask for your property back from someone who takes it. 31 Treat others as you would like people to treat you. 32 If you love those who love you, what credit can you expect? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit can you expect? For even sinners do that much. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to get money back, what credit can you expect? Even sinners lend to sinners to get back the same amount. 35 Instead, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend without any hope of return. You will have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. 36 'Be compassionate just as your Father is compassionate.
Mary's love, obedience, and acceptance that we should all follow in situations that GOD can handle that we cant
Luke 1:29-39
29 She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, 30 but the angel said to her, 'Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God's favour. 31 Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; 33 he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.' 34 Mary said to the angel, 'But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?' 35 The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. 36 And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, 37 for nothing is impossible to God.' 38 Mary said, 'You see before you the Lord's servant, let it happen to me as you have said.' And the angel left her. 39 Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah.
OUR LIVES HERE MARK 8:29-38
27 Jesus and his disciples left for the villages round Caesarea Philippi. On the way he put this question to his disciples, 'Who do people say I am?' 28 And they told him, 'John the Baptist, others Elijah, others again, one of the prophets.' 29 'But you,' he asked them, 'who do you say I am?' Peter spoke up and said to him, 'You are the Christ.' 30 And he gave them strict orders not to tell anyone about him. 31 Then he began to teach them that the Son of man was destined to suffer grievously, and to be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be put to death, and after three days to rise again; 32 and he said all this quite openly. Then, taking him aside, Peter tried to rebuke him. 33 But, turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said to him, 'Get behind me, Satan! You are thinking not as God thinks, but as human beings do.' 34 He called the people and his disciples to him and said, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 Anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it. 36 What gain, then, is it for anyone to win the whole world and forfeit his life? 37 And indeed what can anyone offer in exchange for his life? 38 For if anyone in this sinful and adulterous generation is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.'
OUR REAL HOME Revelations 21:1-8 1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. 3 Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. 4 He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.' 5 Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true." 6 Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; 7 anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8 But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.'
Well if that is the case then why do catholics disagree amongst themselves on what they do and do not believe...and this at the top levels of leadership all the way down? Not to mention all the changes throoughout their history.
That aside, from your comments am I to conclude that you reject Gamaliels Counsel?
As I said, my counselor is the Lord Himself...so let's just leave it at that.
First, not every Catholic, including members of its clergy, speak for the Church and all men err. Secondly, practices change but doctrines do not. At no time has the Church strayed from the doctrines stated in her Creeds.
That’s an accurate parody, at least of the last two days I’ve scanned. Though you left off some of the more virulent stuff.
Dishonest debate is one thing, not a good thing; but, the other stuff I’ve not seen short of some sites and publications which must remain nameless on FR.
I’m beginning to think most, there’s only a few anyway, of the anti-catholics persisting in this behavior are a very small and fortunately rare back-water segment.

“Vatican calls for “central world bank....”
The Vatican called on Monday for the establishment of a global public authority and a central world bank to rule over financial institutions.
Now NL doesn’t this news concern you? The Pope obviously approves so why is the catholic church calling for one authority over the worlds finances, this plays along with what we know is to come concerning uniting the world.

Ive been watching that story. It seems there is confusion on who actually released that. Some claim its not the Vatican itself. Will be a good story to watch. Either way its telling that anyone who claims authority would be thinking along those lines. It surely reinforces my contention that the CC is ultimately the whore of Revelation. I’d hope we find out just how high up that was sent from.
If I stopped at the headline like you obviously have I would be concerned, but having actually read the report and knowing who and what the "the Council for Justice and Peace" is I am not in the least concerned.
What is disconcerting is you guys are just like Democrat special prosecutors and the NYT in trying to hang something, anything around the neck of the Pope and Catholics. Truth doesn't seem to matter as long as you can get the Church playing defense in response to the accusations. I'm not playing that game.
"Benedict XVI himself expressed the need to create a world political authority." Now we are talking about moving toward the one world government.
I hate it when I see churches jump on board to the “universal/unity/one world” groupie mindset. When they do so they are showing they have no understanding of scripture. Even some of our Protestant churches have become so liberal they too are buying into the “show”.
IMO we are entering the time of the great deception....or at least on the edge of it. It’s written “they” will believe the lie because they refused Christ and His truth. So all this shouldn’t be surprising, but it is very sad as time is running out for those who believe they can wait concerning their decision about Christ.
I did read the report NL, you are not right to assume I didn’t. But your response does evidence , once again, that because the “leadership” of the catholic church is calling for this and or supporting this... then it’s alright by you...regardless of the knowledge you might have otherwise of the scripture..which I believe you do have.
Jeepers NL....you have the intellect to discern what’s written, I just can’t figure out why you’re holding onto that which you know is playing along with the push for one world dominance....when it’s so obvious they are headed in the wrong direction.
Might be those who are familiar with what is to come have made it known that to aline with the one world push is the wrong way to go...so the Vatican’s backtracking, or dodging this...and you’re right it is interesting and worth following to see how this plays out. Somehow I think they’ll stay on the fence when all is said and done.
I think the closer we get to actually seeing the implementation of a one world government we will find the Vatican was strongly behind it the whole time and will openly embrace it.
Well I found this at the vatican site....looks like the catholic church is far more political than it often times denies......apparently those of this council are in direct contact with the Pope. It’s an interesting read....even how they were formed. Here’s portions of that:
‘The Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace ‘....has a President who is assisted by a Secretary and an Under-Secretary,.... all named ...’by the Holy Father’..... for a period of five years.
The Holy Father also appoints about forty Members and Consultors who serve in a personal capacity for a period of five years.
A high point in the life of the Council,...” the Plenary Assembly” is a time of authentic discernment of the “signs of the times”.
As an organism of the Holy See, the Council is first and foremost at the service of the Holy Father and also collaborates with other departments of the Roman Curia.
The Pontifical Council collaborates in a special way with...” the World Council of Churches.”
Because of the interest of the Holy See in the work of the United Nations, the Pontifical Council, in collaboration with the Secretariat of State, has frequent contacts with ‘the United Nations’ and its ‘specialized agencies’, especially at the time of the major international conferences.
Proof right there that you didn't read it or even know the context. No one with half a brain would refer to the Council for Justice and Peace as leadership.
Neither would they try to imply that the Church or even this pope has abandoned his Caritas in Veritate encyclical in which the term "world political authority" appears once in the encyclical (in the context of which is a plea for "international cooperation" in the pursuit of a more just "political, juridical and economic order") and in which in the very next sentence the Holy Father stresses that such an authority must "observe consistently the principles of subsidiarity and solidarity."
You are free to continue to use your "four legs good, two legs bad" premise accepting such stories, but it probably would be more work and less satisfying to your inner bigot to actually use your brain.
Yes, it certainly appears they are already supporting it and actually a part of it, not just supporting this one world movement....and this with contacts in high political places, and that on an International scale.
Now I can understand why they are so involved with the Muslim groups and the like. Which I really questioned greatly....for as Christians we do know what is comeing...and so should catholics, the fact their leadership is taking a stance for the one world system you'd think those of it's membership who know Christ would be opposing this......
Makes one wonder if there isn't going to be a great falling away from the catholic church of those who are Christians as these events and their standing become more widly known among the membership.
Revelation 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
NL..I’m going to ignore your unfair remarks. You and I know it’s simply venting your frustration. That I can understand for if my church was moving that direction I’d be frustrated too!
I just posted about the Council NL...seems they are highly political and involved in many aspects of the “Global” push. They were ‘directly appointed by the Pope’... so he certainly uses “half his brain” referring to them.
It is interesting looking into these Vatican appointed groups.....Since you don’t seem to have such a high opinion of them I can relate to that as other believers do...reminds me of Protestant ‘believers’ when they see their church leaders moving in directions the church should not go.
The World Council of Churches and the Catholic Church association with that is also of interest. Some think the One World Church will actually be an associationg of both Catholic and Protestant churches under the World Council of Churches. I think, because of the description in Revelation, it has to either be the CC or led by the CC.
Be careful what you say. The Vatican's vast computer network has already cracked Free Republic and knows exactly who and where you are. The crack albino monks in their black helicopters are ready to visit wrath on those who impugn the Church as we speak.
Nanoo Nanoo 220.
There are those in this world that would have us not believe or be prepared for coming judgment on this world. Just as with Noah, Joseph, and Lot, I believe the prophets have given us information of what is coming. We were told it would not be easy to understand.
2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
There is a special place in scripture, and the future for scoffers. It looks as if you have chosen to join that group.
Well it does appear their will be a unity of catholics and protestants along the way, but how that will actually look is another thing...it would seem each maintains it’s own identity...rather like states in a union...but will all be under a “leadership” over it all.
I do think islam will also be a part of this unity....especially with the muslim brotherhoods tentacles spread about internationally. They’ll let them in because of the oil revenues....same with the mormons who have vast enterprizes and real-estate business ventures on an international scale. And no secret the Vatican is awash with revenues.
Meanwhile it does appear these various “groups” do speak for the Pope...and that on a “universal” scale.
THE ROMAN CURIA
In exercising supreme, full, and immediate power in the ‘universal Church’, the Roman pontiff makes use of the departments of the Roman Curia which,... therefore,... perform their duties ‘in his name’ and ‘with his authority’ for the good of the churches and in the service of the sacred pastors.
