Vatican's pact with Islam

Benedict XVI recently visited again his native Germany, but this time with a different agenda. Five years later, the Vatican adopted a pro-Islam course and has capitulated to fundamentalists. In a recent book written by German journalist Peter Sewald, Pope Ratzinger expressed “regrets” about the Regensburg lecture. The Vatican’s Secretary of State, Tarcisio Bertone, buried the Pope's lesson about Islam as “an archaeological relic.”

“The default positions vis-à-vis militant Islam are now unhappily reminiscent of Vatican diplomacy’s default positions vis-à-vis communism during the last 25 years of the Cold War,” writes George Weigel, a leading US writer about the Vatican. The Vatican’s new agenda seeks “to reach political accommodations with Islamic states and foreswear forceful public condemnation of Islamist and jihadist ideology.”

But NOW is the time to STAND UP and TELL THE TRUTH what needs to be said. The SAD REALITY is that Muslims WILL KILL CHRISTIANS at the drop of a hot. We are not dealing with a very reasonable religion but rather a violent cult.

I find it ironic that Non-Roman "church"
members have to PROVE and provide CITATIONS.

But members of the Roman "church" merely
have to assert something with out proof.and
all the minions fall in line in Blind belief.

When did God tell you what His call for smvoice is? Maybe more correctly it should be asked, when did you usurp God’s authority and presume to tell smvoice what he should be doing?

Strange but true, Uri’el. And it's not a rare occurrence. It IS the way of the Roman “church”. Or so it seems around here.

>> all the minions fall in line in Blind belief.<<

They have been indoctrinated and trained from infancy to follow an earthly organization. They have the “other Christ” whom they follow without question. No Bereans they.

LOL. Didn’t you read where he was telling US what to do? Never mind. It’s pointless to discuss anything with bigots. Your (and the other’s) hatred and bigotry blinds you.

FYI, the bigots you provided fodder to with this thread probably hate Jews too. Doubt they will admit it.

I especially like the way they always can be counted on to change the subject. From WHAT THEIR "FEARLESS LEADER" is doing, or NOT doing, to what WE are doing.

UriA'el, this post is for you, too, I just can't get your name to register on my post-to screen. Sorry!

We are told in God's Word that we would suffer for Christ.

And we are not told that we should put others through suffering - which is the entire point of this discussion.

The Pope is not afraid of being martyred - he is afraid that his words will occasion the murder of innocents.

And lighten up on the heretical buzzwords.

I'm Catholic, so no sale.

No, I didn’t. I saw where he was giving the choices available but I did not see him tell you what you should do. Maybe you could point me to the post that he did? Or specifically give me the words he used that you interpreted that he was telling you what to do?

Salvation is NOT group think. It IS individual. Each believer must decide on his/her own what God is leading them to and through. What is happening in this present evil world, and what will be happening until the moment Christ returns, is in God’s hands, not the Pope’s. “Putting others through suffering”? Isn’t that between them and God, according to His knowledge, will, purpose, and grace? Or does the vatican have input into who should suffer where, when, how, and why?

I want to know how we went from discussing what the Pope was or was not doing, to being accused of being anti-Jewish bigots. Just how does one make such an enormous, erroneous, ridiculous leap?

What presumption to think anyone has the authority to incite violence against a group of innocent people while they sit in their comfy home.

What absolute rubbish.

Go to Islam and do that and take martyrdom, but to claim that one should proclaim the death of Islam in writing or on the television or on the internet to a bunch of murderous jihadists in Cairo is to sign a death warrent, needlessly I might add, for the sake of being a warrior for God.

Those who espouse this are no better than the Islamists themselves.

Every Christian should be ready to face his maker, but the IDEA that YOU can sit here and freely sign another’s death sentence is a sin.

Help me out here. We are to proclaim Christ but not in a way that would endanger anyone? Is that what I’m to take from this? We should stand up for Christ but not overtly lest we be put in danger or endanger someone else? Did I miss where Christ instructed us to covertly spread His word or stand up for Him? I distinctly remember the stand up and proclaim Him publicly or He would deny us meme.

You just don’t seem to get it. Where we are, what we are doing, and where we end up is according to God’s purpose and plan, and it’s all for HIS glory. Not man’s. Not the pope’s. Any believer knows this and puts his life in God’s hand, knowing that to live is Christ and to die is gain. Whether we live or die, it is to and for Christ. Inciting violence? By standing up with the TRUTH? What would Jesus do?

Let’s put it this way. He said be as wise as serpents and as mild as doves.

Wise.

He didn’t say sit on your computer day after day in your house and complain about those who actually have the duty to shepherd and safeguard the Christians of the ME.

Those whose words if not carefully chosen will cause innocents to die.

Until one gets off one’s ample behind and actually decides to do what they have the gall to criticize, don’t bother contacting me with platitudes and sermons.

I don’t deal well with hypocrites.

If you don't deal well with hypocrites, then you must have a REAL problem with your religion. There is nothing more hypocritical than proclaiming you are the Mother Church, the very Vicar of Christ on this earth, the one that the gates of hell shall not prevail against. And yet.."musn't offend the offenders lest they get brutal..we'll just work quietly behind the scenes to overcome the evil in this world and bring about the Catholic Kingdom of God. We'll make Him really proud. All the quiet stuff we're doing for His Kingdom."

He's bringing in a KINGDOM. NOT A LIBRARY. And NOT a HIGH TEA SERVICE.

FYI, the bigots you provided fodder to with this thread probably hate Jews too. Doubt they will admit it.

All chr*stians, regardless of church or denomination (with the obvious exception of liberal chr*stians) think that chr*stianity is right and that everyone else should convert to it (another minor exception here for the hyper-Calvinists). If by "hate Jews" you mean they believe chr*stianity has "fulfilled" Judaism, then you're probably right. Of course, Catholics believe that too.

However, within the limitations of their theology, Fundamentalist Protestants certainly are friendlier to Jews and Israel than Catholics are as a rule. To Catholics Israel is just another country, no different than any other. To Fundamentalist Protestants it is a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy and a key part of G-d's plan for "the last days."

I'm sorry, but Israel simply does not mean and never will mean to Catholics what it means to Fundamentalist Protestants. That's just the way things are. Would it were otherwise.
