I am guessing it has to do with his coralling of Fr. Pavone.

I would disagree with that statement.

No one knows the circumstances of what is going on.

As a parish priest of Amarillo, Father Pavone might spend 4 weekends in Amarillo (or more) in a year.

That is not 4 weeks a year.

Also, Father Pavone is inseparable from Janet Morana. This might be the first time that those two have been apart for more than a week or two in quite a while (except when Janet goes on vacation).

As a former employee of PFL, I know a few things of what went from 2004 to 2006, but not that much.

It is possible that Bishop Zurek needs Father Frank in Amarillo for things like the group picture of priests.

It is also possible that there have been complaints lodged against PFL and/or Father Frank.

Having Father Frank in Amarillo allows the Bishop to have Father Frank aware of them, and answer/address them.

Does any of this imply wrong doing? No!

Ironically, one of the front page stories for the Diocese of Amarillo last week was about the 40 Days for Life vigil.

How many other dioceses will run front page stories on pro-life issues such as 40 Days for Life.

And yet many folks will condemn Bishop Zurek because he has Father Frank, a Diocesan priest of Amarillo, in the Diocese of Amarillo.

My final point is the following:

Father Frank is one of two children (to my knowledge). He, at times, acts like an only child of a family -- whom the family has spared the rod and spoiled the child.

I strongly disliked how Father Frank abuses resources for his creature comforts. But that is one of the reasons I left PFL, among others.

I’m disturbed by your thoughts and observations. First, Janet Morana. If your report is accurate, it raises troubling questions. Has he been confronted on this? I’m in a faith-wrenchingly liberal diocese, so I appreciate one that highlights 40 Days For Life. And your final note insinuating a high regard for material things is depressing as well. But he draws no salary from PFL, right? I truly pray that all of this adds up to nothing, but we have seen Satan’s hand wrap around the necks of Father Euteneur and Father Corapi. St. Michael the Archangel, protect our priests!

Well, if you’re trying to impress me that Bp Zurek has to be on the right in any conflict, forget it.

I don’t know what trouble Fr. Pavone is in, and I don’t know that Bp Zurek isn’t 100% correct in corralling him in, but listing a bunch off posts within the radically left wing USCCB is hardly going to impress me.

The diabolic monsters that destroyed Mother Angelica and EWTN had fantastic credentials. Cardinal Bernadin was the American Pope, and regarded himself as such. His gay lover, Archbishop Weakland, was given every position he wanted, and used it to wage war against the holy.
