LOL. I too, worked my way through the 1st book. Page after page of theological error...

I'm about half way, just to the point where pilot and daughter are showing up at First Generic Evangelical Church of Mt. Prospect. So far there hasn't been enough theology to criticize. For a book supposedly about the return of Christ, there's very little talk of Jesus.

Which is typical.

(I'm grumpy this afternoon. This was "Youth Sunday". Always hard. Familiar with the phrase "moralistic therapeutic deism"?)
