Do you think he wont answer honestly?

I know he won’t. Not if he thinks he can gain points for Mormonism and convincing people they are ‘just another Christian religion’. The LDS actually teaches its members to lie/dissemble/misstate things that they believe in order to get others interested or more accepting of Mormonism.
I learned that first hand when I was training for my LDS mission and it was one of the first ‘red flags’ for me.
They aren’t very good liars though, they can’t look you in the face and say it....which I take as a sign their their soul is still yearning for the Holy Spirit.
I get these guys all the time, they try to convert me and I try to convert them.
It is actually a sort of game with me. It is interesting to see the guy look away and see a tear wiped from his eye.
This seed may be the one that will lead to his salvation.
I don't know what training you had but to allow this claim to pass without refute is just too much.
I will only speak for myself and my personal experience 25 years ago as a Mormon missionary I was NEVER, not once, told to be dishonest. It was the exact opposite.
I could speak for 100's of others that would echo my sentiments about honesty but will stop at my 40+ years of attending Mormon church 99% of the time.
Never, not once was I ever told anything other than be honest. If you remember that you were taught to be dishonest as a missionary for the life of me I can't understand where or why.
