Yes, really CB, the same body He had before His death was resurrected and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God. The wounds in His hands, feet and side were still there, and it was this body which proved to the world that He was who He said He was. The only difference was that it was glorified.

The Incarnation was God’s joining of the human with the divine. He has given us the indwelling of the Spirit. Under the New Covenant we have the grace we lacked under the Old Covenant.

The body is a temple. It has value and must be used just as the much as the spirit in worshiping God and living in His grace.

Jesus said we must love God with all our hearts, our souls, our strength and our minds. Quite simply, with everything we have. It is through all of these things that we live our faith in Jesus and the message of our redemption.

The blood shed by Jesus was very real, the body crucified was very real and the body resurrected was very real. Jesus through the Incarnation has restored what was lost through Adam. Full communion with God and we have His assurance that one day our earthly bodies will be reunited with our souls and we will walk in the presence of God.

The belief that all is spiritual and that there is no salvation for the physical has been around for eons. That Jesus was spirit and not body is a part of that belief. It is just not true.

Messiah's Second Advent:

"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and supplications; and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shll be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."Zech. 12:10.

"In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness." Zech. 13:1.

"And one shall say unto him, What are those wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends." Zech. 13:6.

He will have the same body He had while on this earth. Wounds and all. But it will be a glorified body. Just as our bodies will be glorified like unto His.

Nobody said that there was no salvation for the physical. Physical ceremonies and practices do not produce spiritual realities, but rather reflect them.

They are shadows of the spiritual reality.

It's like we have shadows that move when we move, but just because our shadows mimic our motions does not mean they cause us to move.

I’m sure you will tell that to the person who was born with no legs or arms. To those like me who can’t walk, how will we “walk with God”?

I think Joni Ereckson Tada put it well.

Many of us look forward to Heaven more now than we did when our bodies functioned well. Joni Eareckson Tada says it well: “Somewhere in my broken, paralyzed body is the seed of what I shall become. The paralysis makes what I am to become all the more grand when you contrast atrophied, useless legs against splendorous resurrected legs. I’m convinced that if there are mirrors in heaven (and why not?), the image I’ll see will be unmistakably ‘Joni,’ although a much better, brighter Joni.”

Inside your body, even if it is failing, is the blueprint for your resurrection body. You may not be satisfied with your current body or mind—but you’ll be thrilled with your resurrection upgrades. With them you’ll be better able to serve and glorify God and enjoy an eternity of wonders he has prepared for you.

Joni Eareckson Tada, Heaven: Your Real Home (Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1995)

When I said it will be a glorified body I’m not sure you understood. I think you need to adjust your words slightly or others like me will think your understanding is not complete.
